I got a letter in the mail saying I needed to pay them, so I paid with a check and the check was cashed before the due date. Fast forward a month, I get another letter - the bank claims I still owe them $.10 more because interest accrues. My loan balance is zero, but I still owe interest by the time they cashed my check which was BEFORE THE DUE DATE. So much for truth and lending. Why doesn't this bank explicitly say in their letter that if you pay after a particular date, add X amount in interest. This is a game! I have a savings account in addition to my checking with these people. When I get a chance, I will be shopping for a new banking institution and will pull my money from this institution.

Ok, how is that supposed to help me and what does that have to do with notification before hand!??? Apparently they routinely close credit cards that are not used! Good forbid someone keeps track of their money and doesn't go into debt!! One simple message and I could've used it to buy something but noooo, that would make sense! Amidst the COVID19 pandemic I visited the Garden City and Westbury branches which were a nightmare. Terrible service prior to the pandemic as well. Long lines. Clueless employees. Today I am happy to report that this branch is the best. Professional staff. Smiling faces. Best of all, no long lines and no nonsense. I needed a cashier's check today. While I'm not happy with the $10 up charge as a account holder, I will say it beats all the foolish monthly fees the other For Profit banks charge. This branch is raising the bar.
