Horrible customer service staff not well versed on numerous types of issues - like government issued cards. No "can do" attitude and slow.

What a rotten bank. I had a horrible experience with GRACE on 10/22/2021. Can't get past that…read morehour plus of my life unfortunately, but they definitely treat CERTAIN customers with a bias and treated me like a straight up criminal for being a fraud victim. I called their corporate call center and the supervisor was "in a meeting" wink wink and of course never responded. This place sucks and I was treated like I was trying to commit fraud for using my OWN information. Also, being asked to open an account at a teller window is asinine. Asking someone with fraud on their credit to do this in front of the entire bank, unacceptable. Asking me for more and extensive RANDOM documents piece by piece is the biggest load of BS I may have ever encountered. Grace, thanks for the TERRIBLE service and ending sarcastically with "have a GREAT day," you have problems. I can't believe how shitty of an experience this was. Thumbs way down. I may recommend this joke of a bank to my worst enemy, but no one else.

There was a phone number to a corporate office and a reference number on the check but no one would tell me what it was for because I could be committing fraud and to go into the local branch. I stopped in the La Jolla branch and was struck by the lack of people at the bottom of a big bank building. There was only one teller lady and no customers at all. All she ever would do is take a copy of the check and refer me to the corporate office. I did this several times and finally met another man who was management and told me they would honor the check for 3 years but could not tell me what the check was for and would not reissue just instructing me to tell my Dad's regular bank that they could cash it. Problem is no bank teller worth their salt will accept an expired check. So I go back to see local manager who hides behind the gatekeeper lady who again copies the check and refers me to corporate. Couple of months later, I find paperwork that proves my Dad was an employee and was able to get his money thru the A/P dept at corporate. Why couldn't they just tell me that? Those La Jolla employees are WORTHLESS. I would never want to do my personal or company business with them.

    1. We recently purchased a home and closed back in May. On the closing disclosure, Axos stated that…read morethey would not be selling our loan. A month later, we got a letter stating that our loan had been sold. This seems very strange to me. If a lender promises they won't do something, they should actually follow through on that promise. 2. During the closing process, about 11 or 10 days before close, the loan officers asked us how we wanted our vesting on the title worded. 2 days before close, their lawyer apparently told them that the way we had wanted it worded wasn't correct, and recommended it be worded another way. I don't know why they didn't speak up earlier when we asked them for input as to how to word it, and I don't know why we're even asked how we wanted it worded when apparently we don't have a choice in the matter. It also doesn't help that the loan officers we worked with were not able to offer recommendations on how to word it. Perhaps they could not do so for liability issues? Or did they not know the different options for how to word the vesting? If it was the former, it would have been helpful for them to tell us that. But then the lawyer told us how they wanted it worded anyways? Very confusing process. 3. Attempting to schedule recurring payments online, the website seems to be broken and is not allowing us to do so. I eventually reached a human being (see #4) and we were asked to print out a form and fill it out and email it back in. Just moved to a new house and haven't yet set up the printer, so it's a bit more of a hassle than I'd like. This is broken. Please fix it. 4. Called their customer service line several times. A couple of times, I got to the point in the script where Evo AI asked if I wanted to upgrade my account security through adding biometrics. I said no, because that was not the purpose of my call, and it hung up on me. This is broken. Please fix it. The only saving grace in this whole process was our loan origination officer, Kelly Lord, who was very patient and helpful and even went to bat for us to match a competing offer we had received.

Try to call, you're sent to india to someone who can't speak anything near fluent English, ask to transferred Stateside so I could understand them and no, unable to transfer. They're demanding probate and refuse to provide critical IRS data even though he is deceased. I'm filing with every government regulatory agency on their lawlessness and attempts to confiscate hundreds of thousands of dollars. Stay away! You've been warned!

I can understand why this location has high ratings as the girls that work this location specifically on this day I witnessed knowing the customers by name, being very friendly and accommodating to the needs of the customers. Gaby I believe was the one who assisted me and she went above and beyond in providing customer service. If I was looking for a new bank this would definitely have me sold to open up an account. This location interior is clean and inviting. They have 2 areas for seating and and at this specific time around 330pm there was 3 banker's working. The location does have some foot traffic and there was no long line waiting to be helped. Upon entering the parking location they have a separate entrance for drive-through only. I noticed that there was some assistance being done through drive-through depending on who was available and and it sounded like the old fashioned air drop being used because of the suction noise and the fact that I heard the teller say it's coming right down over the intercom to the customer. The parking lot to the main building is a paid lot, but don't worry as long as you are there less than 5 minutes I believe there is no charge over 5 minutes they validate. Since I had some questions, I was there over the 5 minute mark and my ticket was validated upon exiting the parking lot my ticket price would have been $5.80. Please note the parking is an increments or a fraction thereof.
