When I tried to give history about what I needed she told me to not talk because she was talking. She kept asking me for emails and I was upset and couldn't find them. When I asked to see someone else she sat me down in the front lobby and got me a cup of coffe and went away with my paperwork and came back with instructions to go home and do my paperwork there. I checked afterward and found only one account. I conclude she simply got rid of me. I was very unhappy with this service and will take my inherited money out the first chance I get. On Wednesday, February 18, 2026, I met with Fruitville manager Olivia, to wire my entire balance and close the account. Per BMO policy, she said I would be required to keep a balance in the account until the following day. She assured me she would make a "note to herself" to close the account and mail the balance to my home. This did not happen. On February 27, 2026, I spoke with Fruitville banker Melanie. She assured me she would inform Olivia that the account was still open with a balance. With the Fruitville branch failing twice, I contacted Lisa at BMO call center on March 6, 2026. Lisa promised to correct the problem by closing the account and mail my remaining balance. March 17, 2026, (27 days from the wire) my check arrived. It gets better. BMO charged me $10 because the balance dropped below the minimum required. The minimum they created.
