I know in 2020 with online banking, direct deposits and the like the bank isn't packed on Fridays like the 70s or 80s. However, what is the purpose of the greeter? We wait in line and she goes back to her half office (glass cubicle) clicks her computer, come back to say hello and now there are 5 in line. For your reference 5 is the magic number wherein the greeter tags in someone from a while office to be a greeter so she can help customers. People are lovely here but the BOA process of wasting all out time with a greeter is ridiculous.

This Bank of America team made it easy and they were very patient with the individual to create a positive experience. All questions were answered. All systems were explained carefully. There were several times that information had to be explained more than once and the Bank of America representative did so without hesitation. Opening a new account can be time-consuming, however this experience was completed in a timely manner. From start to finish, the process was complete in about 40 minutes. The bank manager even came over to introduce herself and offer any assistance. This was an overall positive experience and I would recommend this Bank without hesitation.

I had…read morebeen in early in the day and one lady with some accent told me immediately that she couldn't help and i'd have to call a 1-800 number.. wouldn't even listen to what I was saying and so I go home and call the number over 10 different times and no one there can help me as well... so I decide to go back to the branch so I could speak to someone in person and maybe get some help on what I could do... The dude at the front was willing to help and he took my ID and the paycheck to the back with some lady probably on the phone with some higher people... he came back and forth a few times to ask me some questions and then this other lady went back there for maybe 2 mins and then comes out with my ID and my check and she was condescending as hell. She did point out a spelling error (that no other bank ever has ever caught) but she made 2 other bullshit points about how the font doesn't match and something or other overlaps... Again i've used 3 other banks personally and no one has ever had a problem with the same exact check!!!!!!!! She then proceeded to wave the check at me and say "this is fraud" without even calling my workplace to verify... They wouldn't take any information I would give them to be able to verify this check... I had provided letter heads from another bank and from my company saying that the check has cleared on their side and it's a legit check and these people wouldn't even take a second to look at it.... Karen is what I believe her name was... at least she looked and fit the part for one so if that's not your name it should be. In person and on the phone customer service needs to be worked on by this bank.

I asked to speak to the Branch Manager, Mike Levesque, or Regional Manager, Michelle Morris but was denied. I asked for information about my account, different type of accounts, fees to be waived for a 62-year-old senior, checks, debit card, high yield interest accounts (0.01% interest, no good), etc. I will NOT be banking with PNC anymore. I will be moving all of my accounts over to Chase Bank (www.chase.com), and Fidelity Investments (www.fidelity.com) for my financial banking, stock, cash management accounts (3.3% to 4.1% interest, good), checks, debit card, etc. needs. At least Chase and Fidelity know how to be respectful.

So, for starts let's get the pros out of the way since there are some... it's a smaller bank feel, where you will be remembered, and treated more like a person then a bank member. This has its flaws as I want professionalism presented over the phone, which the last several times have not been, I'm not trying to provide information like mothers maiden name, social security, etc over a damn phone call... Ron also does a decent job keeping the place together. The dividends offered are okay, but I can get that through almost any brokerage. Let's get to the cons and my biggest issue(which may be a good thing for others) Online banking, their security is so damn overkill if you typo your password once, you're locked out and forced to contact them directly and provide all sorts of information(that again should not be done over the phone, it's 2020. Things stick. Learn a bit more about cyber security, please.) Sorry, but I'm not trying to call and take 10-15 minutes out of my day every time this occurs. It does not reset after a time, and is heavily annoying. Almost enough to make me drop the bank all together, I simply do not have this issue with my other debit cards. Also; if you wish to have the bank take from savings if you do not have sufficient funds in checking automatically you will have to contact them and enable this function. Sort of silly. Lastly, I don't like being put on hold and consistently taken off hold to tell me the representative required to speak to will be with me shortly. Get an automated system, it's a bit annoying. So are automated systems but not as much. I'm just trying to navigate the system as simple as possible with as little interaction and effort as possible. I'm sure there are other pros as well as cons I could provide, just not at this time. As this review is getting lengthy. Maybe if things improve in the future, I will come back to this review and update it but for the time being this is my opinion. Other opinions are their own and respected, this is only my experience.
