When my niece and I first arrived, we explained that she had received a check from her high school as an award. Because she is 17 and does not have a bank account, she wanted to sign the check over to me so I could cash it for her. The employee who greeted us at the door told us this would be perfectly fine and directed us to wait in line. After waiting approximately 30 minutes, Francisco informed us that he could not process the transaction. He repeatedly left to speak with Kaycee, the branch manager, and after lengthy discussions continued to tell us "no" without providing a clear explanation. When I requested to speak directly with the manager, I was not assisted, and I ultimately had to approach them myself to try to understand the issue. What made this experience even more frustrating is that I have been a customer for over 10 years, with multiple accounts, investments, and loans through this bank. I have never had a late payment and have maintained an excellent relationship with the institution. I also had more than enough funds in my account to cover the amount of the check, meaning there was virtually no financial risk to the bank. Instead of helping us find a reasonable solution, we were met with resistance at every step. I ultimately had to electronically deposit the check and then withdraw the funds myself because they refused to assist us with a transaction that another employee had already told us was acceptable. To make matters worse, my niece was on her way to prom and needed the money for her evening. The delays and lack of communication caused unnecessary stress and nearly made her late for an important event. I understand that banks have policies and procedures, but the lack of consistency, communication, and customer service shown by both Francisco and Kaycee was unacceptable. After more than a decade as a loyal customer, I expected far better treatment and a much more customer-focused approach.

Depositing in person is fast and easy, the tellers are quick, and there is also a drive up ATM for withdrawing or Depositing after business hours. Waiting area is well furnished, and very clean. They offer a plethora of banking services and majority of them are free to business account holders. This bank is like Cheers...Where everybody knows your name. For the past 4 years I have worked with the same bank manager, drive through teller, etc. The only turn over I have noticed is in the lending department. Everyone here is very cordial and polite. You can call with any issue and get it resolved quickly without getting transferred a million times. B of WA also focuses on SBA loans, I would recommend these guys for small local banking.
