(Understood opening a bank account is likely a long process) The conversation my girlfriend had with the woman sounds to have been thorough with information as to how to make an appointment online... but the conversation may have lacked a friendly and patient tone... Not trying to bash the bank too hard, as I was not actually there... but here is some constructive feedback. A, just let the workers go home 15 to 30 minutes early on Fridays. It's been a long week most likely. B, some customers may work their jobs until 4PM or 4:30 PM nearby and may urgently need to open a bank account. Just encouraging a little empathy and a meeting of the minds here.
