The people at this branch were amazing. I found an older savings bond that my grandmother purchased for me... a very long time ago. While they can cash an EE bond issued to you, the older E bonds now require a bunch of hoops. These hoops have nothing to do with Chase and are federal requirements. Since my matured bond was over $100, you know I wasn't letting that money go. I had downloaded the forms from the treasury website and then brought them into Chase (where I am an account holder) to have them stamp it with a seal. I should have made an appointment to do this but they were kind enough to take me as a walk in. After figuring out exactly what was needed, I signed the document in their presence and it was stamped. I mailed off the documents and a week later a direct deposit was in my account! There is parking behind the building which is tight but manageable. Whew! read more

Need a drive-thru ATM on St. Charles near Calliope? This is your best bet. While it may be your best bet, it is not the best ATM by a mile. In fact, I have only been able to use the ATM successfully 1/5 or more visits. The ATM must be accessed from Jackson Ave. The entrance is very narrow and once you enter, you're stuck. This means that when the guy in front of you has no clue how to operate an ATM, you're stuck. When the ATM decides it can't dispense cash and the five people in front of you can't read, you're stuck. When the person in front of you stops less than a car length past the ATM as if they want to get out and carjack you. Yep. Stuck again. You get the picture. When the ATM works, it saves me a trip way out of my way. But it is so unreliable I often brave the bums outside Walgreens to get some scrilla. If you're a Chase customer and want to avoid ATM fees, maybe you'll find this review and know where to go. read more

ATM in the front, parking lot in the back, bank inside. This is the closest Chase to me and since I have no clue where any other ATM's are I often come here. This is also the Chase where I first opened my account. The staff was really helpful and totally sweet. She gave me her email and asked me to write if I ever had any questions- when I took her up on that offer because I couldn't figure something bank related out, she responded quickly and helpfully! I really love this building as the front of it has big columns that fit right in in New Orleans. Maybe it's old and has some great history? I duno. The problem is there is never any parking. Yes, I walk here most of the time. But, if i'm out and need to drive over I can never find parking, even though there is a lot in the back. Oh well, guess I could always use some more exercise for the ol legs. read more

Bad visiting experience we ith the bank tellers and the employees no hospitality at all no communication skills ....

The Garden District of NOLA is difficult enough to drive around in, but this Chase bank made it even more difficult with it's convoluted enterance for the drive through. We literally had someone else do the same thing we did, which is go in the wrong enterance , have to pull out and go in the right one. Oy! read more

This is the nearest Chase bank to my house and its also my absolute least favorite Chase I ever visit. There is invariably a line to use the ATM and frequently there are bums begging for money after you use the ATM. Often the ATM is out of cash or broken for some other reason. I do my best to avoid using this Chase branch and regret it nearly every time I do! I much prefer the TWO Chase locations on Prytania right past Napoleon that have ATM's nearly directly across the street from one another. This branch is in extremely sore need of more ATM's and they need to run the panhandling bums off! read more

Worst customer service experience. If you like being treated like garbage then come here. Otherwise drive down to the Chase bank at 5001 Prytania where you are treated like a customer and not a criminal. I didn't catch her name but I think she might have been a manager. She has short dark hair and is of African America descent. She was the one who treated me and other customers like a criminals. I was 8 minutes late to my appointment, I signed in and waited to be seen. 5 minutes later she came out and she so rudely told me that I was late and that they tried calling me. I did not have a missed call or voicemail from them. Then she told me I needed to wait. After being berated by her I decided to leave. I told her before leaving that I didn't like the way I was treated and I left to drive to the Chase on Prytania. Once I entered the bank on Prytania, let's say the customer service experience was 1000% times better. Never EVER going to this bank again. To true Manager: Yes I was late to my appointment but I have a child at home that made me late. Instead of treating me so rudely next time say "Good Morning" instead of the first words that come out of your mouth are "you are late". At the end of the day I am a customer, not a criminal and have other banking options. If you can't be polite then get out of the customer service banking industry. read more

Went in to deposit some savings bonds. 3 tellers, 1 manager, 1 additional employee all standing or sitting around without a line and they refused to help me without an appointment because it would take them too long. One teller even laughed at my request. Don't bother with this branch, they seem too lazy to want to do their job. The branch on Prytania is much more willing to help their clients and much friendlier. read more

Somewhat nicer and efficient than the Carrollton/Claiborne location! Chase always had a line in the drive through, as opposed to Whitney Bank, that is always ready to serve. Here is my gripe, not so much with Chase himself, but with his customers... The thing is with Chase, it seems that every customer I get behind takes forever with their drive though transactions! . Either the paperwork is not ready, they have multiple transactions per car, or expect something that they are just not getting. They simply are not mindful of other peoples time. I usually have a 10 to 15 minute wait behind someone. Chase needs to crack down on those customers who take too much time at the drive through windows. When I have a transaction, I have all my paperwork in order, and I pull away from the box as soon as my bills are counted or as soon as I verify my receipt. What I am saying is simple and mean, Chase customers, with the exception of a few, are selfish bastards with no consideration for others. I never get this cr@p from the Whitney lines. read more

2.5/5 on ATM only i've never actually walked in, but will stop by to pull cash every once in a while. for some reason, when i visit in the evenings i don't fully feel safe on more than one occasion i've noticed there's been a car just chillin in the drive-through, but not actually conducting any business. read more

This bank is located at the busy intersection of St. Charles Ave. and Jackson Ave. There is a small off street parking lot that you enter from Jackson Ave. river bound. Any visit here has met with attentive and friendly workers. Dealing with Chase because of a State of Louisianan debit card. The card did not work at a business I attempted to make a purchase. So this forced me to make a personal time consuming visit to get my money. That did not make me happy. read more

So even though I've been a loyal credit union user for ages (and will continue to be), my dude and I needed to open a joint checking account, and for various reasons went with Chase. Even though we stopped in on a Saturday, a banker was able to meet with us after only a brief wait to help us with the process. The guy who helped us was very friendly. Although the process took much longer than I wanted it to, things went very smoothly. I always want to keep a foot in the credit union world (because seriously, the whole demise of truly free checking is just obnoxious), but for sticking a toe into big corporate banking, all things considered our experience was pretty decent. read more

The new layout really sucks. Two ATMs in the lobby which are supposed to speed the process along do the opposite. People that still prefer speaking to a human for things the atm can do. Less tellers available. The teller line is a rat trap with no escape in case of emergency. Not a fan. read more
