Today, I arrived at this Chase location about 5:30. My teen son needed a new atm/debit card. I went to customer service. There was no one to greet me. I stood at customer service for approximately 15 minutes then a man passed by and I asked does he work here. He said yes and I explained my teen son needed a new bank card. He abruptly said "I work here but I don't do that!" So I waited another 10 minutes and the abrupt employee returned and said I will help you. He told me temporary cards are no longer issues and he can only help with obtaining one which will be sent by mail. I have been with Chase for at least 15 years and I've never walked into a Chase Bank without a representative greeting me. I never had to find a person to help me. Maybe I'm accustomed to the great customer service of the 55 Water Street NYC location where as soon as one comes inside you are greeted and asked what can I do for you. The employees of this location need to be retrained in customer service. I wish I could give ZERO stars fir this location. read more

I have been with cheese for over 10 years two weeks ago I want to add my husband into my account and to open an account for my son, The lady obviously had a problem with me being Hispanic her name is Grace kropiwnicki she was very rude she asked me if I was a USA citizen very loud and she just make me a husband feel out of place. I asked to speak with the manager and she told me that the manager/supervisor was very busy and he won't be able to take me in until tomorrow so all she did was give me her card and told me if I needed to make a company to call the manager tomorrow. I end up going to another chase bank they actually help me they were very nice and I got everything done in one day. read more

With the new ATMs and fewer bank tellers, I usually get anxious about long lines. After 5pm on a Thursday, there were just two tellers and four people ahead of me. We were in and out relatively quickly. It's getting out here and thankfully, this branch was hospitable putting a water cooler st the disposal of its customers. I am grateful! read more

Arrived at noon on a Saturday and the line was super, super long & slow. That said, the security guard by the entrance -- who was responsible for asking people to wait outside once they were at Covid-precaution capacity -- was outstanding and needs some recognition! He greeted everyone kindly, gave masks to people who didn't have them, directed people to open ATMs... basically went above and beyond to make the experience less stressful for everyone. When it was my turn to speak with the bank teller, she, too, was fantastic, helpful, efficient, and didn't seem harried/exasperated even though everyone was clearly slammed with customers. I wish I caught their names. Just want to make sure the branch manager appreciates their Saturday staff! read more

I walked into the bank to open a CD. I was told that I couldn't be helped because it was an hour before closing and they stop taking customers for new accounts an hour before closing. I insisted that they help me. They told me that I had to open a checking account in order to get the advertised rate on the CD. So I opened a checking account and a CD. Two weeks later, I still had not received my debit card or checks. I called the branch but could not get anyone to answer the phone. I called the 1-800 number and was told that the checks were never ordered and only an ATM card was ordered for me. Since I hadn't received the ATM card, the representative told me he would cancel that card and order the debit card. Another two weeks have passed and I still hadn't received the debit card. I have called the Myrtle Avenue branch location six times. Each time, they let the phone ring about 10 times and then pick up the receiver and slam it back down. I called the 1-800 number and they told me that the debit card was never ordered. Where do they find their employees? They are totally inept. read more

I use Chase because they seem to be the first bank to always come out with new and improved ways of doing things. In NYC, it's also the most popular bank and they have branches/ATMs EVERYWHERE. This location in specific, is large and the entire team here is friendly and always smiling. I do agree with the previous review that Chase is eliminating their tellers and replacing them with their Chase ATM machines, but unfortunately it's not just Chase. Lots of businesses, including supermarkets, post offices and more are doing it. It's unfortunate, but our jobs are being replaced by machines and there's not much we can do about it. The ATM machines are capable of doing almost everything that you would have to do with a teller. However, the few times I had to wait for a teller, my wait time was quick and service efficient. read more

Chase is going down the drain one branch at a time.. they used to have many tellers, fast lines, now you have long ass lines, and they replacing brokers with their stupid computers... I went into this branch on Fridays and I found the 4-5 windows to be understaffed, today, i found out they are closing 4-5 windows, leaving only 2 open and 1 for business, leading to a long line out the door.. CHASE wake the hell up!! otherwise people will goto TD bank or somewhere else were people still live! read more

Used to be quick. Now takes more than 30 minutes to get a withdrawal. Should just close the whole bank if they cant properly staff.

After being with Chase for three years, I no longer used that card. I have a credit union I love + only went with them because the company I used to work with also used them (had issues with that too). The balance that was there with no deposits inquired maintenance fees. My account was -$29 after not using my card for 6 months (Maintenance fees, whatever those are, when they pay IT 120,000 a year). Yesterday $100 was Zelle to me on my Chase account, the money was received by me, and I made a withdrawal of $40 from an ATM . Today when I check my account I cannot login. I reset the password, and told the password was changed, but I still wasn't able to login. Fine. I'll just go to the grocery store and swipe my card. I go to the store to make a purchase, my card does not work at the register nor the ATM, reading an error message of an "authorized user". I go to the bank because I'm told by a representative at the 1800 number that my account is closed and they do not know why. I'm told by Hispanic heavyset man, with a straight face, who is management, today, that said "Ian account downer receive activity for 90 days , once you pay your negative balance, they will terminate your account without notification : call, text or email, any funds in your account will be sent back to your sender, it will take three business days before your sender can send you back the monies that were in your account. $100 was transferred $40 was withdrawn that left a balance of $31. Chase refunded the entire $100 back to the sender- who happened to be a client, ooohh how professional I look- and are now telling me I have to pay back the $41 that they allowed me to withdraw from a "closed account." I'm reporting this company to the Better Business Bureau and I am also going to fight owning them ANYTHING ($41). Chase will never get another penny of my hard earned money. Chase?! THIS IS NOT YOUR MONEY THIS IS THE PEOPLE'S MONEY. You have rules in place that make no sense and are NOT for the people. $29? A million dollar company. I was left without even money to pay for parking when I arrived. My other bank card front the best bank ever , a credit union, VyStar, hasn't arrived due to backed up mail + Covid. Today. I literally do not have a penny that I can get access to - my boyfriend is ordering me Uber Eats and my client is so kind to give me $100 cash. That means he's given me $200 in 2 days and is trusting that this story I'm Telling him is true. Because I did text him "received "yesterday when he sent $100 from account to mine. Thank God it wasn't a $40,000, I guess they would've sent that back to sender to. SMH I CANT MAKE THIS STUFF UP. read more
