I sued Vof D, went to Court, and won Judgement on July 29, 2024. The attorney James Vasselli filed a Motion to Vacate but never followed through. Missing Court 3 times even after being contacted by Court Clerk and Judge to show up. On August 26, 2024, I had an in-person Meeting with Mayor Roberts and City Clerk, Juanita Darden. At the meeting I informed them of Judgement, what was owed, and tried to settle to prevent further Attorney Fees being accrued. By September 12, 2024, I still had not heard back from Mayor or Ms. Darden as promised nor from attorney. I then filed a Moton for Discovery of Assets so I could garnish Bank Accounts since V of D did not want to settle without further costs of using YOUR MONEY, RESIDENTS. On October 31,2024 Judge Bates ordered V of D to just pay me! As of today V of D has not paid, the only attorney communicating is one that stepped in for Mr. Vasselli. Today after sending a very frustrated email due to no return calls or emails since stating I am giving my "client the Judgement and your receipts." Mr. Vasselli contacted me by email today and asked could we speak at 4:30. I replied yes, but received NO CALL until after speaking with another attorney at 6:00 pm and voicing that my time is valuable too and Mr. Vasselli has a habit of just putting people off, trying to intimidate, but collecting MORE MONEY. Mr. Vaselli now is threating to Vacate Judgement, which means Case will go to Trial meaning you as Residents will be paying probably 2-3 times more than what's owed me. He is lining his pockets, and apparently Mayor is going along with it with no regard for his Senior, Disabled Veterans, and residents of Dixmoor and would rather line the the pockets of Mr. Vaselli.
