The bank tellers at this bank are amazing, and have extreme patience with their clients. I had previously made a very important wire transfer online, and received an immediate call afterwards from a Chase representative to verify that this wire transfer was securely from me and that I wasn't being scammed by anyone online. After verifying all the correct information, and ending the call, I had suspicions that this call from this chase representative was a very good form of phishing. I went online to verify my suspicions with online resources through Google AI and Reddit users who had previously encountered such things, and they had reported this kind of thing to be a highly-likely scenario of a scam artist. I immediately came into the bank to report my suspicions and try to attempt to do something about this. Alyssa was very kind to assist me and understand my dilemma. By contacting fraud support, they placed a claim on my transfer, getting it ready to be refunded with little damage of loss on my end. After 1 hour of trying to carry out the best case scenario for this fraudulence, transferring between 3 fraud specialists on the phone, and Alyssa being extremely patient with this entire situation, we came to find that the person impersonating a Chase representative that had initially contacted me, was in fact an ACTUAL Chase representative, and was not a scam artist after all. I am extremely grateful for the amount of time Alyssa had spent on this claim, and for her extreme patience throughout this entire situation. She was very kind, professional, and adept with how she handled this, from beginning to finish. Absolutely Remarkable. I would highly recommend this Chase Location. read more

If I could give Chase negative stars, I would. I've banked with Chase for over 40 years, with multiple personal and business accounts, and what happened this week was beyond unacceptable. I opened a new business in August and opened a business checking account with Chase, just like I've done many times before. Two days ago, I received a random email saying my account was being closed -- with zero explanation. I assumed it was a scam until I called the official 800 number. Unfortunately, it was real. Chase closed my account and refuses to tell me why, despite the account having thousands of dollars in it. There are no legal issues, the company has a brand-new federal tax ID, it's in good standing with the state, and the account was always positive. After getting nowhere with an offshore call center, I went to my local branch. Even the banker who opened the account couldn't access any information. I emailed the branch manager, who never responded, and only took my call two days later -- yet still didn't answer my questions. The complete lack of transparency is infuriating. After running millions of dollars through Chase over more than three decades, this is how they treat long-term customers. I look forward to the next time a Chase salesperson approaches me at a networking event. I'll gladly share how Chase closes accounts without warning, offers no explanation, and shows absolutely no regard for customer loyalty. read more

I went to deposit a bunch of money in bills, the lady at the drive through told me to "count your money next time because we're too busy". You have a machine and that's what it's for. I cannot comment for other visitors but only on my visit. It may be due to the lack of customers in the office at the time of my visit but I was helped by a banker immediately upon entering. I was greeted with a nice welcome and the reason why I came there was fully resolved by the banking agent. I've had issues with this location and also had some great experiences at this location. It's very hit or miss but if I need to physically go into a Chase location, I usually go to this location. It's right across the street from work which makes it very convenient for me. I'm always running through the drive thru here! A downfall is maneuvering in and out of this location. Turning left from this bank onto Meachem can be a nightmare! Not to mention you can't do it during certain hours of the day. Plus, going out onto Higgins means not turning left. So plan your escape route accordingly! read more

Meeting Andre LaCount was the worst thing that happened to me in 2014. Wish I would have read the reviews here before making the same mistake of working with Andre LaCount. He was awful and lazy, always away something else and never available during work hours. He led me to miss FOUR different deadlines that were established over a month in advance. At one point, he even had the nerve to try and blame the hold up on me (to my realtor), all while telling me a completely different story. By the end, something had went wrong with paperwork that he had completed that would have completely prevented the loan from goin through if the amazing underwriter (Anna) had not went out on a limb to help me. Thanks to Andre, I had to move into a hotel indefinitely. In fact, Andre was completely unaware of his mistake AND was similarly confused when Anna was able to fix the problem. Andre Lacount is just a drain on society. In every other mortgage experience that I have experienced personally or through acquaintances, the loan officer has congratulated the buyer. Although I it is customary, I received no correspondance (card, welcome home gift, phone call, email, text message... NOTHING!) whatsoever from Andre. In other words, he had so little to do with the entire process, that I had to call him and inform him that my purchase was complete. Although meeting Andre was the worst thing that happened to me that year, I quickly forgot about him. Other than being annoying, Andre just wasn't very memorable. I would love to not have to think about Andre, but he insists on sending me advertisements from his new company! Does he honestly believe I would ever consider using or recommending his services?!? I have unsubscribed several times but continue to receive this crap to both my email and physical mailbox. This activity has persisted for four years. I've been with Chase now for 10+ years. Love that they have banks every other block for me to stop by at. This one is exceptionally large, and awesome. I went through the drive-through with my dog and he had his head hanging out the rear window. Without saying anything or asking for it, they sent withdraw money back through the vacuum tube with an envelope full of doggie treats! Cmon. Love these guys! read more

I'd agree that this Chase isn't better or worse than other Chase's I've been to. My parents have an account in California so I've been to many out there. Pros: - Friendly staff and a lot of staff on hand to get what you need. Con's: - At times, it can have a less than professional feel. The main reason I went was to see if I wanted to open a checking account there. I wasn't a big fan of the sales person they assigned to me. This person was flat out a sales person. I barely got to get a word in for the first 5 minutes as she detailed out everything about all the checking accounts they had. For every question I had, she gave an indirect answer (ie: Do you have free checks with your base account? Answer... You get temporary checks) I had to ask the question about two more times before she would finally say I had to pay $23 for a set of 250 checks. In addition to that, she would try to sell me on how Chase was the greatest thing since sliced bread but wouldn't ask about what needs I have in terms of banking. I had to direct the conversation and it took painfully long since she wouldn't even inquire or go along with my line of questioning. All she wanted to do was sell me on how great Chase was. With that kind of customer service, I don't think I'll sign on, but I can see how these sales people can be hit or miss. Oh well. read more

I wish I could say good things but I just can't. I have been with Chase since they bought First Chicago in the 90's. My experience with them every single time there has been an issue has been a nightmare. They are such a huge company that apologizes and blames each other's departments as though they are other companies not under the Chase name. You can't even call your local branch's phone number without having to go through 2 minutes of prompting and listening to Chase things before actually talking to anyone and if no one at the branch is able to pick up the phone, they phone system tells you that no one is available and to call back again later. read more

A woman named Tatiana Labutina walked into a local bank near the area where she banks. I was waiting in line to make a deposit, she was SUPER rude and unprofessional and nasty to the staff there. I know she works at this chase location because she kept telling everyone she worked at chase on meacham and they have 13 bankers so there's never a wait. This location only had 1 banker. She refused to wait or sit down to be assisted. Was rude to the tellers trying to assist her and the branch manager that happened to walk by and greet her. I have always had good service at this location, from what I can remember. I'm usually in and out pretty quickly, but if I do need help with something, one of the advisors is with me right away. The unfortunate thing is the advisors change all the time. I only come in a couple times a year, and I never see the same face twice. A woman named Mary helped me last and was an absolute rockstar. I give It 3 stars for now because this is the first time I've been here and got here at 7:45. An employee walks up to my car ( opening procedure to see why I was waiting in the parking lot ) and I asked her what time the lobby opened and she told me 8. Comes to find out it's 8:30 I know I should have probably looked which is my fault but the fact that she lied to me isn't a good step in the right direction. So I'm sitting here waiting for 8:30. I visited this branch a couple of weeks ago to simply exchange some leftover foreign currency that I had from a recent trip. When I first walked up to the counter, the lady didn't say hello but instead gave me the stare of "What the hell do you want". The total of my exchange only came to about 72 American dollars but for some reason it took 40 minutes to complete my transaction. I was at the counter for this entire period of time. The person helping me did not know what she was doing, and after 20 minutes finally decided to ask for help. Finally after this was complete, she asked if I wanted to deposit this money into my account. The worst bank I have ever dealt with. I had a business account with them and we moved to a new bank. Paid off our line of credit and have been battling them for a year to remove a lien from our company. Banker manager could care less and not helpful at all. Chase Bank recently changed their policy regarding signers on bank accounts. We used Chase for a business account with signers located all over the US. Because a current signer needs to walk into a branch with a new signer, it made it impossible for our organization to continue using them. Definately a "personal banking" feel and not very organization or corporation friendly. Forced us to pull our $150K+ and deposit it in BMO Harris where I could overnight signature cards to the signers and have them sent back in with proper documentation. If you're looking for a bank for personal accounts, Chase is ok, and their mobile banking app is actually pretty good. If you're looking to refinance a mortgage, I would give zero or negative stars if at all possible. You will experience the absolute worst customer service and how these bankers can call themselves "professionals" and cash their paychecks with a clear conscience is beyond any reason. Add to this that their rates are not competitive, and they outright lie to you, is even worse. We began the refinance process early summer, and it is now October, and we haven't closed. Unless you continually hound them with emails and phone calls, there won't be any communication whatsoever. Don't waste your time with their Facebook page or trying to email or call the branch managers....they are such spineless cowards, that they never bother to reply. Nothing special. They seem to get lots of new faces often which isn't a good sign. Some of the tellers are super slow and need more training. I avoid coming during my lunch hour as it is a zoo at times and making a deposit for work is a hassle. I asked my sister to hold some money for me. She has an account at Chase Bank, I do not. She gave me my money back via personal check @ chase bank. She told me I could go and get the cash there, just bring ID. After I got there, the teller asked me if i had a chase account and I said no, but the check is from Chase. I handed her the check and my Illinois State Drivers license. She told me that my Illinois State Drivers license was not sufficient Identification, that I needed another card with my name on it. Since I don't carry all my cards with me all the time, I told her I would have to go to my car to get it. What if i didn't have one, well they wouldn't cash it. she also informed me if I still wanted to cash the check She would be charging me $6. This is outrageous! I called my sister while in the bank, after my trip to the car to get more identification, she told me don't cash it, she never heard of such ridiculousness, we will come back and get my money. She is far from happy as well, she had to leave work to go to the bank! I am so glad I don't bank at Chase they treat disabled people poorly. Today, on a Friday afternoon at about 3:00 P.M. I visited this branch of Chase Bank located near Woodfield Mall in order to pay my real estate taxes- which are due in two weeks. You would think that the bank that has the current contract with Cook County to process taxes would be better prepared to handle the extra customers. I don't currently have any other banking business with Chase - and if this branch is typical, then that is how it will remain. At the banks I normally do business with, I am used to fast, friendly and efficient service. Today I waited in a long line for almost 30 minutes. There were six teller stations, and the most at any one time that was open was four. The overworked teller did her job. I had to ask for a stapler to staple the receipt to my tax bill. You walk in and people all say hello and you can grab the first one at site. They actually have helped me with many things that the bank offers that you would normally not know about.
