I had the option to go to a different Chase earlier today, but opted out in attempt to come to this Chase because I thought it would be more beneficial to do business with the Chase bank That's in the same city and just five minutes from my new business. I Ignored all the negative reviews and comments online about this particular Chase branch Giving them the benefit of the doubt, however, upon my first impression they failed. How does a large company like Chase fail to input correct store hours. This is simple common sense no-brainer easy stuff to do. Booked an appointment with Sol which was so simple to do! Sol has always been available at the other end of the line and booking a quick appointment is super easy. He doesn't treat you like just a client. He converses with you like a friend. His colleagues Nick and Eddie stopped by to say hi too! When we have issues, Sol really does his research into it and has never failed us with desireable suitable options. He is aware of the current promotions the bank offers and highlighted them to us should we choose to go with them. DO NOT BANK HERE UNLESS YOU ARE INCOMPETENT AND INCAPABLE OF READING OR MAKING INTELLECTUAL DECISIONS The Branch in the Stater Bros off Sycamore is small, but helpful, knowledgeable and efficient. If you MUST bank with Chase, get back in your car & go there. They have extended hours over this location, too. Personally, I'd suggest a Credit Union. That's where I've happily banked for over 25 years. I came to this branch to get some signatures changed on an account for a Homeowners Association type account I am the Treasurer for. I had stopped at a San Clemente branch the day before to find out what I needed to do, since Chase prides itself on the fact that you can do anything at any branch regardless of where you opened the account. I found out the details, including typing up meeting minutes, and having the secretary sign them, indicating whom the Board had decided should be the signers on the account. San Clemente told me to bring those into the any branch and then each Board member could go into any branch and sign when convenient for them. So, got the minutes and took them to the nearest branch, which is where the account was opened. Got a whole different story here that all of us would have to come into this branch together (not sure if we were supposed to come in holding hands and skipping too {{sarcasm}} ) and when I asked the front counter customer service concierge lady if I could speak to someone in charge because I had followed the instructions that San Clemente had given me to a "T" and was NOT happy that I was getting a different story now, she said that maybe the Assistant Branch Manager could help me. She went and talked to the Assistant Branch Manager who was at a teller window, and that person told her to call their Legal department. Nice customer service Assistant Branch Manager! (not!) Legal informed the concierge lady that what I had been told at San Clemente was the case, except I'd have to have all the Board members sign the form and I'd have to write down their two forms of ID, including their personal credit card numbers on a piece of paper and bring it back. I am NOT at all pleased about any of this, and SOLELY because of this Branch and their complete and total lack of customer service you can bet one of the first things our Association will be considering is changing banks....hopefully to a credit union where you do not get the "corporate run around". I am not even a member with Chase and you've earned my respect! I went in this branch yesterday afternoon and was assisted by a gal sitting at the very last window. I explained to her the situation where I went to navy Federal to draw cash for Lunar New Year and needed bills that were not ripped. I asked for the newest ones they had. Even though I was not a member she went out of her to ask the rep next to her for the newest $10 bills she had. She even offered new $1s and $2 dollar bills. I was so grateful and appreciative! Okay. I'm pissed. I have been a Washington Mutual (WAMU) customer for nearly twenty years (opened the account when I lived in Seattle.... Washington Mutual...concept... duh). Then these chicken shit rat bastards from Chase bought WAMU and sucked it into the banking vortex from hell. State tax refund? "Sorry, can't cash it. New policy. Won't be available till next business day." HUH? It's a state check! "sorry". Hey, I can't make a deposit at the ATM. "Sorry. You were a WAMU customer and it won't allow it, but we'll have it updated soon" WTF??? Stand in line for a bazillion hours, go to the teller.... "You don't have an account with us. " The fuck I don't! Twenty years and counting. Manager eventually arrives (really happy to see me... not)....oh. "Well, we are changing our entry system and it doesn't recognize your WAMU account number." (But you still want my money, right???!!!) Eventually gives me a business card with a new account number on back and tells me to make sure I bring it with me every time so they can locate me. Not much of a choice since I COULDN'T DEPOSIT at the ATM. Then, my debit card (still WAMU) is going to expire next month. I asked when I should expect my new "Chase" card. We've been working with Eddie since February and he has gone out of his way to help us with every need we have had. My father died in January and he and my mom had a trust that needed to be redone. Eddy took so much care and asked questions of the back office to ensure he had all the necessary documents. He helped us get my mother's SS deposits moved to Chase from another bank. He went over and above to keep us in the loop as different issues have come up. Eddie has an amazing ability to remember small personal details about our family and ask how things are going whenever we meet with him. If we call his line and he's busy with another customer, he always calls us back in a timely manner. He even traveled to the Escondido office to meet with us so that we didn't have to drive to Vista! We cannot give enough praise to this fine young man and we look forward to doing a lot more business with him in the future. read more

As per Chase Bank (Managers), they are no longer accepting automatic payments from (Chase Liquid Accounts) and have damaged the reputation with three of the Credit Cards that I am using to build credit. They don't want to be responsible and they are not doing anything to rectify the situation. The automatic payments have been working for a year and a few months with no issues. They have also failed to explain why this was working before. Please take action immediately for this careless act from Chase Bank. Since I started writing this review, Chase started a new promotion: $100 with the opening of an account. Now, I know this sounds great, but please let me ask you to think for just a moment; why on earth would such a large bank need to PAY to bring in customers? Perhaps the below will help to shed a little piece of enlightenment... So, without quite the graphic langauge of the first review, allow me to say this, please do not make the same mistake I did and bank with Chase. Three separate issues in the last 6 months mean I will NEVER, EVER return to them again... except perhaps with a lawsuit. Although there are still some good people left, they are thwarted at every turn by corporate policy designed to screw the little people and pad their bottom line. Put another way, their electronic banking system has screwed me not once, but twice. The first time they sent out an automatic payment that had been cancelled months prior, causing our accounts to go negative and incure a couple of hundred dollars in overdraft fees. It took weeks to get our many back into our account, and it meant that were it not for our credit cards, we would have been without food. The second incident occured back in December, when they managed to conveniently lose an envelope full of checks, saying that it came in empty. It was only after a MONTH of going into the branch daily, speaking with anyone that would listen and calling the office of their CEO that I was able to get the money back, and then lo-and-behold! They were able to find the checks once more a week or so later. Finally, I set up an auto-bill pay for the same bill that I had cancelled previously as it needed to finally start going out again - for my health insurance. Well, they didn't pay it, the auto-pay disappeared from their system and my coverage was cancelled. Never before have I encountered such a poor system, and I will never return to work with them again. read more

I went in to open an account today at around 5:20pm. Now ask me, was I able to open an account? No. Right after I signed the time sheet and filled my name out I was approached by a banker, she told me that it was going to be a while and I said that I was fine with waiting. There was only one banker that could open accounts? But yet there were 5 associates working? When the time hit 6 two associates were able to communicate with me that I needed to leave that they were closed! And what's worse is that they helped the other 3 people that came in after me! So, I started banking Chase because of the $100 they offered when opening an account. I have direct deposit for my two per diem jobs and I have had no problems with them. My boyfriend recently opened an account and it tool three tries before he was able to recieve his ATM card. Plus when he goes to the Blockbuster kiosk inside Vons off S. Santa Fe, he cannot rent with his ATM carc because the zip code doesn't match. Weird. But he can make purchases anywhere else with the card. I wonder whose the one with the problem? Chase or Blockbuster? Now we have changed the mailing address to a P.O. Box to see if he can receive the bank statements, because of now, he hasn't received any. Hmmm? read more

We had a terrific experience with Harvey Waters, VP, at the Chase Bank branch on El Camino Real in San Clemente. We recently moved to San Clemente and needed personal and business accounts established and a lock box. We walked in on a Friday afternoon and Harvey apologized and asked if we could wait 30 min, or return the next day. We agreed to Saturday at 1:00 pm and Havey was waiting for us. He got everything set up and linked our accounts and my Chase credit card so I can see everything on the very easy to use Chase app. It's awesome! Highly recommend Harvey and Chase! read more

So, I've been paying on my auto loan with Chase Bank for three years now, never missing a single payment, just got hit with multiple unexpected bills, like an auto repair job. I asked for a deferment of this months bill, that they could place at the end of the loan, meaning they would also get extra interest on this loan as well. They told me I did not qualify and when I asked what was the reasoning for this decision they would not give me a reason. I will be contacting my credit union at the end of this review to transfer my loan over to them, and dumping Chase Bank forever. I am totally finished with big banks from this point on! read more
