It is generally a good practice. However, it would be best if you take caution before expecting them to understand any changes or personal emergencies that you may have. I am updating my review after experiencing first-hand that they are not as understanding or patient toward the patient's schedule change needs, and they do not document all communication accurately (this may be due to the many changes in staff and temporary workers, but it can negatively impact you nonetheless).

I went in the other day and scheduled an appointment with one of the most amazing people I've met in Winston Salem (not divulging names here for privacy but you'll know when you meet her). Then I saw my Physical therapist. Incredibly helpful and knowledgeable and a master at her job. I received a dry needling session and a bit of strengthening exercises. HECK YEAH!! I'm not going to go crazy and say I'm cured but dang it if I'm not feeling a gazillion times better. I particularly want to shout out my most recent experience. Dr. Thomas R. Saullo is an outstanding practitioner. He has an excellent "bedside manner," always greeting me with a smile, listening intently to my concerns, and responding appropriately with his feedback and recommendations. I trust his medical advice without question. He has also performed a few injections on my injuries. Desk staff is the orthopedics area were friendly and had a good sense of humor. The radiologist was knowledgeable and efficient with the X-rays. The pre-screen nurse was friendly, empathetic and personable. My consult was with Frank Caruso, PA. I cannot sing this man's praises enough. He thorough explained what he saw on my X-rays. He then offered several options for treatment. Frank was personable and obviously very knowledgeable. He was easy to talk with and even more importantly, a good listener. I highly recommend Frank and this hospital unit (Orthopedics, Davie) for those specific healthcare needs. He was great to deal with and I will certainly contact him again should the need arise. Nobody likes going to the doctor but the entire staff at Davie made it a bearable experience.
