Al re-soled them for around $35 (if memory serves) during the week of Thanksgiving in 2025 in around 3 days. The soles look seamless and no one would be able to tell that they weren't the originals. I used them yesterday and they fell apart. I decided to go into the business to understand what happened, and things went downhill fast. The person at the front counter, name is D told me to grab the other shoe. I did. He looked at the other shoe and said "Oh, I did this one because it has glue" (in a completely different area than what I had originally brought in) I asked if he knew which side he did- right or left. He said he didn't because it was on the slip he originally did. I asked if he could locate that. He said it was his professional experience that told him he didn't need to check. I advised that I would feel better if he could verify what shoe was worked on. Apparently, this was my first mistake. He told me that he basically did not want to call the administrator to do it, that it would take a really long time and that it would be making someone do a lot of work for "no reason". But it matters. It matters A LOT whether it was my left shoe, or my right. If this was the shoe he worked on, then I should get a refund. If this was not the shoe he worked on, then I should pay to get this done. Throughout this interaction, D became more and more rude. I addressed this and told him I did not like the way he was speaking to me. He simply responded "I can't help it if you don't like me" Sir, I mentioned nothing about liking or disliking you. I am saying I do not like the way I am being spoken to. Liking you has nothing to do with it. He then said "I do good work". I believe you. Again, this is not personal, but he made this incredibly personal for no reason. After A LOT of back and forth, it turns out he felt like I was questioning his judgement and he was being rude because he didn't appreciate that. He said had I just taken his word, he "may" have offered a discount to fix my other shoe. Here is the long and short of it all- it's not okay to treat someone poorly because they want clarification on work that was done and paid for. I actually hope he is right and this wasn't shotty work. But the way I was treated today? I'll go to literally any other shoe hospital than work with that guy again.

When I came in, not only was the shoe not ready, he said he was waiting for the glue and permission to repair and the cost is more. Okkkkk I said. How much more? I don't know he replied. He could have called me. Not only was the shoe opened up, it was a hot mess than when I took it in. Then proceeds to say, if you don't want to pay extra then I'll close up the shoe as is and you can take it elsewhere. Seriously? Had to let him finish it. I call 2 weeks later and he hasn't gotten to it and gave me a date of June 29th. Went on vacation then picked it up on 10th and $18 more. I finally go pick it up and bad mouth Shoe Hospital how they would never repair my shoe. The shoe was so dirty and looks like he did nothing to care for it while removing parts, gluing and put black stains all over it. And he thinks he did a great job. Look at the photo. My shoe that did not get repair on right, the dirt and gluing mess on my left shoe.

He charges $12 to clean and shine your shoes. His hours are really up to him but he told me he's there M-F from 7:25 am till 3 but heads out around 2. So it's best to call him and let him know when you're coming. You can also leave your shoes there with him but you gotta pick it up when he says so! Anyways I'll be coming back to him.
