Tim…read morehad the boat readied for us before we showed up and his assistant Jessica met at the dock to make sure we could find his slip easily. We went out on a beautiful day looking for stripers and flounders. Our short ride to his spots was pleasant and Tim entertained us with fishing tales (who knew bananas are unlucky and should never be brought aboard a fishing boat!). At one of the first few spots, flounders started to hit. We reeled in one after another. Tim put them in a tank with circulating water to make sure they are alive when we return. We hit a few more spots for stripers but alas it was not our day. From the chatter over the radio, it was clear that no one was catching any. Tim felt bad that we didn't catch any stripers and took us to a few more spots (extended our charter on his dime) to catch a flounders. When we got back to the dock, he cleaned all the fish for us and packed them in ziplock bags. The boat was fantastic: comfortable, well-equipped, and zippy. I felt well-taken care of and well-guided. Tim is a seasoned fisherman who is warm, fun, and helpful. I would highly recommend him. You won't regret it!

My son and I spent a half-day (morning) fishing with Captain Quentin. I booked him based on a…read morevariety of good reviews. It had been a while since either of us fished. We arrived at 4:45am, for a 5:00am launch. Quentin was right on time and we were able to experience a beautiful sunrise on our way out of the harbor! During the trip, he was super helpful, provided guidance on techniques, and he had a great attitude right from the start. He was personable, down to earth, just an all around nice guy. He was a professional rugby player, and had lots of good stories to tell along the way. Quentin answered all our questions about we had about fishing and around Boston and the types of fish we'd be catching. Since we were staying at a hotel, I let him know we didn't have plans to take any fish home with us, so Quentin suggested we just go for the bigger ones, that weren't slot size, since we weren't keeping them anyway. Quentin knew the good spots for finding bait fish and stripers! He put us over a school of mackerel for our bait fish and we had a blast catching 1-5 every time the line went in the water. Quickly, we had close to 100 mackerel and then we were ready for the Striped Bass (Stripers). My son and I caught about a dozen quality fish, and we had doubles 2-3 times (i.e. two fish on the lines at the same time). Quentin's boat is fully equipped with everything we needed for fishing and an enjoyable trip. It's clean everything was in working order. He provided water and a cooler for the snacks we brought onboard. If you like catching, not just fishing, I would highly recommend Eureka Charters for an amazing experience! FISH ON!

He patiently answered the many questions we had about fishing in and around Boston Harbor, offered suggestions about gear and bait, showed us some good spots for finding baitfish and stripers, and even filleted our catch at the end of the trip (we caught 3 - a cow, a smaller striper, and a keeper). His generosity in sharing the "secrets" of successful fishing was much appreciated, and we can't wait to get back out on the water to put them to use. My husband and I hired JLC Productions to do the videography for our wedding last year and it turned out to be the worst experience. There were a long list of issues but I will just focus on a few. When we booked with JLC, I spoke with Justin directly. He was extremely kind and seemed knowledgeable. Because of this, I decided to hire him and sent him a deposit. Fast forward closer to the wedding, I would email Justin with questions and very rarely got responses. It wasn't until it was time for us to send the final payment where he actually seemed to be interested in our wedding. I chocked this up to him just being busy but that was not the case. Once I sent him the final deposit, he again was impossible to get a hold of. Rarely responded to emails to the point where I was about to hire someone else because I figured he was not going to show. He finally got back to me within a week or two of the wedding so I thought we were in the clear. When Justin and I spoke the week of my wedding, he told me that he was no longer able to use the drone which was the whole reason why I hired him over other videographers. He blamed this one state regulations which I looked into and is correct, but he knew from the beginning where my venue was. He clearly did not do his research or just lied to me so I would hire him. Either or, I was not happy finding this out the week of my wedding. No bride deserves that kind of stress so close to the wedding. The most saddening part of this is that we have finally come to terms with never getting our video. Our contract stipulated that our video would be done within 30 days. With our wedding being last year, we have finally excepted that we will never get it which is heartbreaking. The most important day of my life, we paid his team to capture and this company has showed little remorse. Justin has ignored all of our phone calls, emails and texts. I hope this is helpful for future companies and brides. My husband and I paid him a lot of money for a service he did not provide. Justin has been extremely unprofessional and working with him has put a dark cloud over the best day of my life.
