I tried to hit up just about every hill throughout the day but missed a few Because the place is so massive. This is one of my favorite ski Mountains because of the tree skiing options and how many Black Diamonds are groomed (it's so fun bombing down the hill just on the edge of being out of control). I did wipe out on the second to last run losing a ski in the process and sliding down the mountain, but was able to recover the ski after a short hike up for about 40 yards). If I had to pick a ski place where I came closest to dying it would probably be here when I came flying around a sharp groomed corner onto a moguled hill, but was able to gain some control before I became one with some pine trees. About a month before I came here I read that a woman got nipped by a coyote when she was tree skiing and they had a sign warning about a coyote there at the top of one of the runs, so that was kind of funny. I stopped in for some chili at one of the small hole in the wall places they have at the base of the Eastern side of the mountain and that was a really cool place with good food.

The burger was also pretty good. The chili was not bad, a little spicy, but later on in the evening I ended up feeling nauseous and threw up chili. It was terrible. We did have to wait a little bit to get seated the first time, ended up sitting at the bar the second time. Drinks were tasty! I would still come back to crows bench while out on the mountain, but stay away from the chili.

NOW it has a totally new menu. I saw the last saving grace from the past (fish & chips) that I liked and my waitress informed me that they are now made with fresh cod! I ordered the night special baked cod with onion salsa on top of pesto penne pasta. I was delightfully surprised. Fish tasted fresh and the olive oil left on the plate was great to mop up with the bread (organic?) Apparently the bread rationing of the past has stopped since I was asked if I would like more by the waitress and hostess. Yes, even the hostess checked in with me which I thought was very hospitable. Side salad I ordered had a great presentation and for you Lighthouse blue cheese fans it is back. Apps start at $8 and sandwiches at $13 with main courses are $17 for veggie to $35 for 14 oz prime rib. I don't drink but wine list looked good. My thoughts are prices about the same to maybe $1 more, but portions got bigger, and if they can follow through with taste, with the service always being a lock, then look forward to a return to fantastic.

If you live out of state, they are not worth booking an excursion with. I absolutely do not recommend this company.

The little shop has tons of goodies and supplies if you forget anything and they have books you can borrow if you forgot yours. The cookies at check in are all good but oatmeal was the best. The juice and fancy coffee machines are a great touch. The hot chocolate is incredible. The looks and work out room are clean and very well maintained. The work out rooms view is breathtaking. The have a nice big back area to walk your four legged friends. The rooms are new, spacious, very clean, and the beds are comfy. We will continue to come back several times a year.

No mention of this anywhere else on Priceline or the website itself. Clearly trying to get away with the legal minimum for informing customers I was informed at the desk that my cat was not allowed, despite being cleaner and quieter than most dogs or children. The gentleman at the front desk actually had the gall to suggest I leave my cat in the car. Which would have been for 2 days In the summer. With no food water or litter. If I wasn't so stunned I would have chewed out his stupidity. I was placed in a room right by an exit door and assumed the staff was giving me a wink wink to bring my cat in, that they had to follow policy but were trying to help. Except they called me a half hour later saying they watched me on camera with my carrier and I would be charged 300 dollars if I was "caught" with a cat in the room. Really? Watching me check in on camera? They could have just charged me if there were damages but they went that far? I had to ask a family member to call in a favor to have my cat taken care of. But what if I couldn't? What if I couldn't afford to cancel the room without a refund and go to another hotel? Or risk the 300 dollar fee? What if there was nowhere to board my cat because local vet clinics were closed by the time I checked in? The whole thing was badly implemented and executed The website has a picture of a paw on the amenities for pet friendly but hides that it is DOG friendly which is not the same. The whole process was shady and shameful. 2 stars because the room was mediocre, but fine, the breakfast buffet was good and the view was great. But the whole situation was a complete mess and there was no effort by hotel staff to address it.
