I've been to two different events here at the Ritz. The venue itself is beautiful, food is good, but SOME staff need to learn basic customer service and manners. The first event I attended a server was upset that there were so many guests (some dressed in ball gowns) that she started complaining that she can't do her job. OUT LOUD while serving guests their food. The second event I've attended, our server who is very sweet, simply forgot four plates for the main course at our table. We waited very patiently but she was busy. We waived one server, she said that they will make their way around. We waited more and our server didn't come back with the plates. I'd like to mention that all the food for the main course was on the table. I just stood by the door to only ask for plates since we've been waiting. The first server brushed me off and didn't let me finish my sentence and said "ask your waitress okay?" , another guest at my table asked a different server and she went to the kitchen just to come back empty handed to look at the table that's missing plates when it's clear that they're missing. I told her we're missing four plates and she's says "I KNOW", used a calm down gesture and shook her head at me. They took so long with plates that one of the guests at the table just ended up using the saucer plate to start eating. As I said earlier, SOME staff need improvement. I attended a fundraising event for The Harbour at Chateau Ritz in Niles. Nestled among the strip malls and chain restaurants, the Chateau Ritz sits back off the street and has a lot of parking. The theme of the evening was a casino night. The decor of Chateau Ritz is glam, over the top, a little outdated, but totally appropriate for a fundraising event. The room was spacious with plenty of space for the tables, auction tables, casino tables, stage, etc. The hot hors d'oeuvres were served hot, basic but good tasting, there was an attractive array of desserts, staff was efficient in clearing plates, replenishing the buffet and helping with AV needs. The bartenders were great. The bathrooms were clean, and stocked. The guests were having a great time and the setting of Chateau Ritz helped to enhance that. We did notice when we arrived for the event that there were a few people hanging around the parking lot (not guests). When we left for the evening, a person was walking through the lot, talking to people (talking to himself?) and moving between the cars. read more

Good venue to have a wedding at. Pretty decor inside, and good service provided by the waitstaff. This is your standard banquet hall, with what seemed like 3 total halls that can host 3 different parties at once. This is exactly what happened when I came here for a wedding last weekend. There were 3 weddings and the lobby was packed a little before 6 pm as no one could enter the banquet halls as they were still getting prepared. I didn't like this too much as it was too crowded, and after everyone was able to settle into their rightful rooms with the correct party, you can still hear the music blasting from the other rooms. But if you don't mind that then you have nothing to worry about. The food was decent enough but not spectacular. I had some type of chicken that had a weird taste and I could quite figure out what it was flavored with. The mashed potatoes were good, as was the vanilla ice cream dessert. Open bar was awesome, and the bartenders were very friendly and accommodating. The bride had a private room, but it was literally a cleaning closet that they stuck her in. Not sure what was going on with that or if they only had 2 bridal suites that were already taken up by the 2 other wedding parties there at the same time as us. If I was the bride that would have brought out the bridezilla in me. But that's just me. In conclusion, like I said, this is your standard wedding venue. If you're going for looks, yes the place is nice for a wedding but one thing that really stood out was that if you chose the smaller venue prepare to hear next doors venue music and noise all night. At the Seif Nabil concert, 3/6/2020, venu was horrible. Worst I have been at ! The singers were fine . But starting with VIP section was horrible it you were not on first three tables. It was a scam. When asked to move to cheaper tables managers were no help. Food was horrible , old rice soup. Rotten lettuce and cucumbers on salad. When asked walked in not a good setup. While signing lights were in your eyes you can hardly see. Security guard acted like he was president with 10 people surrounding him throughout whole concert and you can hardly see anything because of security guard blocking view. Never again! I had my wedding their in the last week of May 09. Booked three different halls for different events in Chicago but I am glad I booked Chateau Ritz for the main event. These guys are awesome. The place is beautiful inside. Dealth with Nick Theodos (spelling?) He really worked with me in planning & co ordinating the event as if it mattered to them as much as it mattered to me. On my wedding day when I got to the hall. Ours was an evening event & I got ready in the hall so was their at 4:00 pm. The chair covers were not the ones I had chosen. (Earlier that week I had talked to another Nick while choosing the chair covers & call it miscommunication but I thought I had chosen something else & he wrote something else on the contract) Anyways These people are so nice that although they had already set up and everything the guy I had talked to before went himself to pick up the right chair covers & they replaced everything again. Might sound like nothing right now but at that time I really did panic & these guys just took that stress away from me in 10 minutes. Any vendor who is willing to work with you to make sure everything goes accordingly is the best thing that can happen to a bride. Their servers & waitstaff were nice & courteous to our guests. All smiles. Which meant a lot to me & my husband. These people are flexible in term of timing & all too. They were prompt with everything but unlike another banquet hall I had booked they didn't start pushing us out when the event time was about to end. Can't say anything about how their food as we had our own caterers due to the reason that we needed halal food. But I am sure with great service they would have great food too. Let us start off by saying that Claudia and her staff are amazing. They went above and beyond with their service, and made the whole process smooth from start to finish. From the moment we first walked into the Chateau Ritz, Claudia was very welcoming and answered any questions that we had. We knew from the moment we walked out on our first visit that this would be our venue. After putting down our deposit, we made a number of other visits to the venue throughout the year, and each time Claudia and her staff welcomed us with open arms, answered our questions, and even let us walk around the rooms as other events were going through their preparations. It definitely helped us as we tried to visualize our own wedding layout. The hall itself is beautiful, and quite affordable considering all of its amenities. It has a solid marble dance floor, sturdy tables/chairs, and gorgeous chandeliers. Even if you go with half of the room, it is quite spacious: fits up to 300 guests comfortably. There is plenty of parking space, and they allow you to leave your car overnight as long you let them know beforehand. During our research on food reviews, we had read and heard from others that the food was delicious - indeed it was. The Chicken Chateau was amazing, and our vegetarian guests loved the lasagna. On the day of our wedding, Claudia was very happy to see us, and reassured us that everything was being taken care of. As you might expect, not everything goes according to plan at weddings, but Claudia and her staff truly looked out for us and accommodated us when something didn't go as planned. The staff was very courteous and welcoming. One member of the wait staff even stayed late to set up and manage our late night snack table. At the end of the night, Claudia allowed us to wait at the hall while we waited for our delayed shuttle buses to take us to our hotel. They were even nice enough to collect anything that was left behind and store it in their office - we picked everything up the next day. Truly exceptional service. We had our fairytale wedding here in August 2018 and the team at Chateau Ritz made all of our dreams come true--and then some! They were incredible in helping with planning and organizing, especially during such a stressful time for a bride/groom. They think of every single thing you need, and are EXTREMELY generous! This Banquet has been around since I can remember always drove by and wondered how come i haven't been there with all the weddings baptisms that I ve been to. The day finally came when you look at the place you expect elegance, tasty food and great service. Honestly this place is truly amazing! It will make your special day to be a fairytale. As soon as you walk in you can sense the aristocratic atmosphere. I was there for a bridal shower the staff was amazing. Some of the guests on our table were vegan and they accommodate them with an amazing plate really quick. When my husband and I were looking for venues in the area, Chateau Ritz wasn't even on our radar as we had been there in the past and we remember it being outdated. A friend told us they had recently remodeled and we decided to check it out. It was awesome and exactly what we wanted! We were instantly impressed by the remodel and knew this was where we had to have our wedding. After discussing pricing options, we booked right away as it was one of the better packages we had seen. We were expecting 420+ guests and needed to find a good deal so we were excited to get so much for our money. My wife and I had our wedding reception here and could not have been happier with the results. Chateau Ritz was quite flexible about several different things (dietary restrictions for some guests; Jim Beam on the tables -- yeah, it was that kind of wedding). The prices were well beyond competitive for banquet halls in the area, especially considering that an open bar comes with the package. The desert upgrade was ridiculous; my guests were commenting on that for months afterwards (they still do, in fact). The space is beautiful, especially once you get on the inside. The one negative is the location, which is adjacent to a Pizza Hut and across the street from a strip mall, but there's not really much they can do about that. The building is several yards off the street which helps greatly, and the building itself looks quite lovely from the outside. For all the wedding planning horror stories you hear, it's nice to know you can count on something as major as the reception venue. Would highly recommend. read more

I went here for a graduation party last week, so here is my review of this place and staff, but let me be clear this was not my party nor did I have anything to do with booking it, so I can't speak on that process. The place is nice and clean looking- outside and inside. The room we were in was tall celling's and very nicely lite. The staff- AMAZING! I can not repeat my self enough, the bar tender and the waitress where AMAZING! My little nephew was there with us (1 year and a couple months old) so he loves to run run and run. The staff was never upset by him darting around and even would talk with him and so sweet to him. Which to me, is huge! They were very attentive with walking around with appetizers and bringing anything we needed. The only reason I'm docking one star is the food. Now I'd say 85% of the food was delicious! The fried shrimp, the salmon with dill sauce, the chicken, and so a few others. But as far as the beef and the veggies. The beef was sliced thin as it should be but, for me it almost tasted slightly like a frozen meal. Now look I didn't pick this menu so in NO WAY should this steer you away from this place, but this is my honest opinion and I want it to be a fair one. I also felt like the veggies needed something more, maybe to be grilled or something. I believe they where just blanched. I can't speak on prices, sorry. We had our wedding reception at the Chateau Ritz in November of 2017 and couldn't have been happier about our choice! The very spacious bridal suite included a full bathroom (separate powder room) with enough room for about 3-4 girls to primp PLUS a whole sitting area big enough for at least 5-6 people comfortably. It was the perfect retreat when we needed a breather between the ceremony and the reception and the best part was that the waitstaff brought us up some food from our cocktail hour! We were starving and that hit the spot. The candlelit room looked gorgeous! They placed the lighting exactly where I asked them to. Listen to them when they tell you what size room to get, they know what they're talking about. I kept thinking my 125 person wedding would take up the entire banquet hall but they insisted that I only rent one side. Of course, they were right. There are many places to take amazing pictures here. My guests are still talking about awesome the food was. We served filet, sea bass, and vegetarian lasagna. This is not your average banquet food and the portions were huge! They did this really cute bow tie strawberry display on our sweets table too. The bartenders were super friendly and accommodating. We had our wedding there. Its gorgeous, with neutral decor and a nice bridal suite. The food was good, cake is included in the package and service was good. Overall, I think I would hire them for another event, but depends on who you are dealing with, they may "act up" i.e. make a big deal out of nothing, (moving some tables are requested by our wedding coordinator). My wedding at the Chateau Ritz was AMAZING!!!!! We had a 400 person wedding there in November and I am still getting compliments in June. First, the planning was a breeze. The management team there was so helpful and knowledgable. They have it down to a science. As a Bride, the last thing you need is to be stressed and with them I was not. Second, the food was so delicious. We had their signature appetizers and crafted a signature cocktail which made cocktail hour so fun for our guests. When I didn't think it could get any better, we went on to dinner which was out of this world. The servers made sure my groom and I ate which doesn't always happen when you have hundreds of guests to mingle with. And I am still dreaming about that food, the cream of asparagus soup and filet was sooooo good! Watch out Mastros and Chicago cut there is some competition in Niles! Then the rest of the reception was just fabulous. People were having a blast on the beautiful black granite dance floor. And the whole ballroom looked like a fairy tale wedding. Wow and those chandeliers just SPARKLE! The drinks were great! The bartenders were so fast that there was never a long wait for any of our guests. Our package included awesome spirits! I cannot say enough good things about the place. If you are thinking about where to have your wedding, have it there! I look forward to going to other parties there. Why four star? The place/hall is amazing. The hall can be divided into three smaller hall and if your guest or party is bigger this can be open to some huge hall for weddings or maybe corporate function. Wedding ceremony can be done here with proper coordination. And the hall have a separate room for the bridal suite and grooms suite! Decoration at the receiving area were great. Chandeliers were not astonishing but good and looks flashy! The hall have there own in house caterer that's serves great food! They have open bar maybe an option to the party but having a open bar always a great idea when you're having your function! Plenty of parking space! read more

On the top of our must have lists were beautiful interiors, elegant finishes, large dancefloor, hospitable point people, and of course- price! Our first visit lead us to a meeting with Ari. He was very attentive to our needs and was extremely accommodating to meet them. Even though our wedding day was 18 months out (many vendors saw this as a liability), Ari was able to create a package that checked every box for at a more than reasonable price point. He was even able to accommodate some of our venue requests for Polish wedding traditions. Throughout the process we were treated like part-of-the-family. Leading up to the wedding worked with Mike & Jessica who did an amazing job laying out the specific details. We were able to arrange multiple visits & tastings to see what the final product would look like. Our meticulousness could have been perceived as annoying by most, but the team at Chateau would always empathize with our attention to detail. We had a mexican wedding on the second room at eh Chateau Ritz last week and everything went great. The place is very nice because it looks modern but fancy with those beautiful chandeliers. Our clients said the food was delicious and everybody was happy. There was another wedding in the room next to us and their music didn't bother us at all. The only thing that we have problems was the waitress that didn't speak english very well or spanish, so they didn't bring the drinks to the guest and if you ask them for something they will call somebody else to translate, But in general is a great place to host your party. I recently held a large party at Chateau Ritz with over 130 people. I have to give the venue five stars. The food was excellent, the wait staff and bartenders were pleasant and accommodating and the dessert spread and the setup were spectacular - I mean it. The dessert spread actually looks as beautiful in real life as it does in their photos. Mike, one of the main managers was the easiest person to work with. When I wanted to change the colors 4 days before the event he was flexible and reassuring. He made sure all of our needs were met the night of the event and stayed until very late to ensure there were no mixups. I came here a year ago to attend a wedding reception for a dear friend of mine and realized that this is where I would love to have mine. I was so impressed by the service and food that I made my decision the day I attended the reception. we just had my sisters baby shower. I would like to first say that this isnt a traditional baby shower. it was an indian baby shower where we as families gather to celebrate the future of a young mother whom in this case is my sister. Now the chateau was great place to host, it was recently renovated and totally looks much more modern then its old outdated look. I used to go to this place as a child to different functions and cant remember it to be so elegant as it is now. The service provided by the management was astounding, accomadating and amazing to say the least. We had a cotton candy manchine and other childlike items being made on the spot. We also had jamba juice cater their different juices along with an outside caterin for appiters and decorations. The management at the Ritz were so nice they even appointed some of the staff to help make transitions of all these wonderful items and served them in a great accurate timely manner as per our program that we had provided. As far as the inhouse food, well i must say i was quite impressed with the food because it definitely didnt have the same catered made in mass production feel, we had the food served family style, although i didnt not sample each and every table's food, but from the compliments i received in picking the venue i am assuming that the food made in house def had a massive role in the compliments. all in all this place is def a great place for the occasion and i def plan on hosting more events there in the future! read more

The guy in charge goes on to tell me they don't do parties under 100 people. I challenged back stating I had been at a wedding in the past with less than 80 guests. He responded, they must have booked a week prior to the event. REALLY? I would have rather heard about their packages/minimum $ not just writing us off since we didn't have 100 guest. We celebrated our marriage at the Chateau Ritz this past December, and ohhhhh man did they deliver! I'm still smiling! And so is my bride, my family and the rest of the 140 beautiful people that joined us that night. We fit more than comfortably into the room and a half, with plenty of leg room for the Greek dancing that seemed to never stop. We served our guests the Chicken Copenhagen (timeless), after some delicious avgolemono. They were fed a plenty, and even came "complaining" to us, with a smile on their face, about the absurd quantity of food they had received.
