Front of the restaurant. Friendly staff And good food. Not a large place. Maybe nine tables although they can split them.

Always great service and wonderful good. As much as I like their zurek, the onion soup is fantastic. The pierogi and potato pancakes are also top notch. They are small (only nine tables) so you may have to wait if they are busy. But if the weather is poor they aren't usually full. Enjoy!

This place is like a Polish Applebee's, nothing spectacular and bland food. Surprisingly it's always busy but I can't imagine why. The portions are big but the food is kinda gross. The service was okay but very slow. Nice things are that they take credit card and have outdoor seating. Go somewhere else!

I love the review that says this place is like a 'Polish Applebee's' - which is accurate. The portions are huge and the food is just ok.

It was good, fair price and experienced good, friendly customer service. She spoke perfect English and they take credit cards. Bar had limited options of liquor. This city, also serves as a major Polish college town and ranks as the 4th largest city in Poland (population 632,000). Situated prominently in a very old building in the center of the historic Market Square, Spitz has both a casual bar-cafe and a more elegant restaurant situated one flight down from ground level. Despite not having a reservation, our group of four snagged a great table in the stylish dining room with cove-shaped ceilings and centuries-old oil paintings. We quickly ordered a bottle of a nice 2015 Chilean red and got down to enjoying the ambience while perusing the menu. We ordered a delicious appetizer of Grilled Shrimp with, of all things, a Mexican mojo sauce. Two of us also chose a pair of their soup offerings. For entrees, two of us ordered the popular Baked Breaded Sole while another chose another fish alternative...the Grilled Zander w/ potatoes and veggies. Our fourth colleague picked the Rolled Turkey with asparagus and roasted potatoes. Our meals were right on the mark and were crafted with noticeably fresh ingredients. The only thing dragging the rating down to 3.5 stars was the difficulty we had in flagging down our waiter when we noticed a small crack in one of our wine glasses. Sometimes you just have to bite your tongue and remember you are a guest in another's country...3 Stars.

I ordered the "Ukrainian pierogi" and she the "Green salad with camembert, fresh seasonal fruit and dressing." Both were absolutely amazing. Our waiter was ever so friendly and completely fluent in English. He got my beer to the table quickly, and upon hearing we had tickets to an event an hour later, made sure our meals were prepared and served quickly. Side note: There was seating available both inside and out. The restrooms were clean and well stocked. We would not hesitate to go back!

The Wroclaw Bigos was a stew of red cabbage, beef, pork, veal, raisins, apples, and red wine, and served with baguette slices on the side; compared to a traditional Polish Bigos, this stew had a much sweeter flavor from the fruit used in its preparation. Next, the Silesian Heaven was a dish of cured pork belly and a slice of pork loin in a sauce made of dried fruit (including apricots, plums, and peaches) along with five round, chewy Wroclavian dumplings made with potatoes. Both of the dishes we had were on the sweet side and expensive for what they were, but the service and the experience made eating at this gastropub a memorable stop!
