Freshly made Polish pierogi. Yum, yum! They all look the same, but three very different filings make this a delightful and surprising treat

The home brewed beers are flavourful, deep and worth the trip by themselves. If you fancy a pint, come here -- prices are reasonable, the bar is always busy, and you won't be disappointed. I was quite satisfied with the caramel mead -- rich in colour, and the flavour was so delightful, my second pint was another, rather than switching to one of their other selections. Being a tourist, of course I ordered the local pirogi. The assortment main came with three yummy flavours: Cottage Cheese and Potatoes Meat and Cabbage Mushroom Quite delightful, really. The potato based shell was very freshly made, and tasted sublime. I had an onion soup as a starter. Expecting something like a French Onion soup, I was surprised instead to see a Polish take on this classic, with onion soup finished with croutons and cheese (but not baked in the oven). Was almost like a combination between an Italian Wedding soup and a French Onion soup. A nice, albeit heavy, starter. As a bonus, if you visit in late November or December, this bar/restaurant is right on the Christmas Square, which is well worth a walk on a cold winter's night. Would absolutely go back!

Great food! get your money's worth here. I also really like the honey beer. The sausages were very good as well as the saurkraut. Best view in the square.

I guess everything has been said already about this place. It is this kind of a place where you "have to" go when you visit the city. The beers are home-brewed so it definitely worth to taste when you tired of zywiec and co, I particularly recommend the "strong beer". However, the terrace is very busy (with tourists and locals) and noisy so you can't really relax and enjoy it. I have been inside just a few minutes but it looked a bit shabby!

The cellar of Spiż is not a good place to start out a night. In the main hall there are four big-screen televisions. For some inexplicable reason they choose to show old music videos on them continuously. That's the kind of stuff people watch when they suffer from insomnia. The constant stream of random imaginary can really tire your brain. I was constantly in danger of falling asleep when I was there.

Spiz. If you're in Wroclaw and you don't have a beer or ten here, you haven't been to Wroclaw.

A bit pricey for the area, but its damn fine craft beer. make sure to try the bread with BACON FAT!

The beer was great and reasonably priced. Seating can be problematic at times, but worth the table scouting needed.

Spiz is microbrewery with nice bub and restaurant. If you are in Wroclaw you have to visit this place and try "pszeniczne" beer.

I decided to go as traditional as possible and had the sour soup with egg and sausage. it is on the salty side but having had it a couple times have always found this to be the case. It was tasty and I'd recommend it. This with an ice cold beer is a delight! We got the dumplings to share with what i assume was stuffed with pork and served with bacon lardons. It was tasty enough. Not memorable but by no means unpleasant. I then tried the pork knuckle. the meat was very tender, served with cabbage, horseradish and bread. The bread was plain and not needed. Some fried potatoes with onion and herbs would have been much better with it and made the dish. Ask for this instead. my other half who was less adventurous had basically a pan fried piece of chicken and fries with cabbage. pretty much a chicken escalope and fries or if in germany a schnitzel mit pommes. it was what it was. Tasty bit nothing new or interesting unless you have never had one before. Still it was correctly cooked and if you are in the mood for this its not a bad thing to order. I'll still give it 4 stars as the service was good and everything was cooked right. It just didn't wow me but then this could just be the polish cuisine in general (although again I haven't had enough to make this judgement wither) so I wouldn't knock them as everything was done well.

Chatka przy Jatkach - Front of the restaurant. Friendly staff And good food. Not a large place. Maybe nine tables although they can split them.

I ordered the "Ukrainian pierogi" and she the "Green salad with camembert, fresh seasonal fruit and dressing." Both were absolutely amazing. Our waiter was ever so friendly and completely fluent in English. He got my beer to the table quickly, and upon hearing we had tickets to an event an hour later, made sure our meals were prepared and served quickly. Side note: There was seating available both inside and out. The restrooms were clean and well stocked. We would not hesitate to go back!

The Wroclaw Bigos was a stew of red cabbage, beef, pork, veal, raisins, apples, and red wine, and served with baguette slices on the side; compared to a traditional Polish Bigos, this stew had a much sweeter flavor from the fruit used in its preparation. Next, the Silesian Heaven was a dish of cured pork belly and a slice of pork loin in a sauce made of dried fruit (including apricots, plums, and peaches) along with five round, chewy Wroclavian dumplings made with potatoes. Both of the dishes we had were on the sweet side and expensive for what they were, but the service and the experience made eating at this gastropub a memorable stop!
