It's a nice vibe here because it's nestled right in the heart of the city. But, you can easily reach a huge greenway along the river, the art district, or walk across a long pedestrian bridge to shopping and parks. As a place to be a student, I found it to be pretty good overall. Now, with 25 years passing, I have no idea if the professors or education are like the past. But, I think the UT system does a decent job. I was well prepared for the future -- attending higher ranked graduate schools. UTC is what you make of it. Overall: Worth checking out if you want an urban campus that's not overwhelmingly big.

The property sold some years ago and was purchased by the college. The college has about 1000 students each year who attend the four years of college there. We enjoyed lunch looking out over the valley and areas below while eating a picnic lunch! It was so enjoyable! All I have to say is that Dr. Kemp is the most brilliant Bible Doctrines professor I've ever met in my life. Dr. Knowles is awesome. And the staff went out of their way to make sure I was well taken care of. While Yelping through Chattanooga doing food reviews, I knew that I could not let the TTU Cafeteria go by without a mention. It's rare to find a Cafeteria manager and cook who really go out of their way to serve great food to their students. I got to know them, and Hosea and Felicia are a wonderful asset to the school. Felicia makes the best Fried Chicken I've ever had in my life, hands-down. The TTU Cafeteria used to open to the public on Fried Chicken day (Thursdays) but people outside loved it so much that the cafeteria was overwhelmed and the students weren't able to eat and make it to class on time. Even now, students stand in line patiently waiting for batches of Felicia's Fried Chicken to come out of the kitchen. It's amazing. I got to talk to her and she taught it to me, while I stood in the kitchen and watched her prep and cook her Fried Chicken, which her momma taught to her. Not that anybody would swing their decision to attend TTU based on a Fried Chicken review, but I had to give credit where credit was due. Best Fried Chicken Ever.

Admissions makes you run in circles and refuse to aid you in anyway other than informing you "oh... by the way we need this paperwork" that is not even in the Tiger web application as being required which is the system they go by to show what is needed to register. The VA reps and advisors won't even talk to you unless your registered to the school. Soo.... you have to be a student to get help to become a student?? They dodge any questions or concerns about Financial Aid until your classes are set up where.. of course... they ask for more paperwork which prevent you from registering for the classes/semester your already set for.. It doesn't make any sense how they do things. Attempting to understand their system to aid my Son has been a catastrophe... for a F**KING COMMUNITY COLLEGE!!!!!!! GO ONLINE OR A DIFFERENT STATE FOR SCHOOLING! F**K THIS DISGRACE OF A "COLLEGE"

At this Gothic tradition, described by Jon Meacham, "...visitors come from across the South to experience classic services modeled on the choral majesty of King's College Chapel in Cambridge, England." From last year's program, "In this service we present the double meaning of the Advent season. From the West Door, the Responsory of ancient Matins on Advent Sunday announces the hope of Messiah. Then, the Choir and Chancel party will move in procession from west to east, illustrating the theme "from darkness to light." The subsequent readings and music direct attention to the coming of Messiah, and further, to the Second Coming at the End of the Age. The Christian Church lives between these two points: the first, Christmastide with the incarnation of the Son of God, and the second, His coming again to judge and to recreate His universe." At this service, All Saints is decked out with beautiful poinsettias and the Priest dispenses incense. The stained glass windows are absolutely stunning and the chapel is beautiful! Lessons and Carols annually attracts nearly 3000 people to Sewanee! 2025 will be the 66th Festival of Lessons and Carols! When I have attended tickets were free and it's really important to arrive early, as their is always a line to enter this especially beautiful chapel for this service! The Course at "Sewanee" golf course is absolutely lovely, too! It is a nine hole golf course that was redesigned in 2013. It opened for play in 1915. Thanks, Sewanee for 13,000 beautiful Tennessee acres, and the annual "A Festival Service of Nine Lessons and Carols."
