While stationed on Fort Drum, my family discovered this little gem on accident. We walked in, and were immediately greeted by the nicest of women. This place was exactly what you look for, when finding a family friendly place to eat. We were on Fort Drum for 4 years, and we ate here almost every Sunday. The portions were more than plenty, the wait staff knew their customer service, and whomever they had in the back, on the grill, amazing! I'd absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for that small, hometown feel. read more

We went for a birthday lunch and really enjoyed ourselves--clean, affordable, really friendly and pleasant. We all had different things from the lunch menu and everything was really good. This place is a gem in Carthage. I ordered The Hungry Mans breakfast, comes with two eggs, hashbrowns/home fries, your choice of meat (I picked the hash) and toast. It was delicious! I bring my family here for breakfasts when we visit the North Country. Let's start with the service... the servers are prompt and attentive. They are friendly and always checking on our waters and coffees. The food is high quality and cooked just how you want it. I usually get the omelette and any flavor is good. The "Everything Omellette" is big and filling. My kids get the pancakes and it comes with lots of local maple syrup. The breakfasts always fill them up and we leave very satisfied. Price is reasonable and comparable to other quality restaurants. Many locals eat here. Check it out! read more

Great food with affordable prices. Only downside is that if you're not a regular there, you will get stared at for the duration of your meal. Also there was an instance where we came in an hour before they were supposed to close, and we were not served. No one even approached us to let us know that they would no longer be serving so after sitting for 15 minutes with no communication on their end, we left. Also they do not take card, rather inconvenient. read more

Good food, but are not prepared for small children. When we went, they had no high chairs. Also, it is apparently a restaurant popular with "locals" because everyone stared at us when we came in. We have not been back for those reasons. The food was very good, tho. read more

No A/C! Only one waitress working while the restaurant was packed. Needless to say, the service was terrible! I ordered a Spanish omlette with a side of home fries. Omlette was huge and great; the home fries came out burnt tasting! Prices were reasonable and they did have some awesome rye bread toast! I will not be going here again. read more

Our server Lisa did a great job. She was knowledgeable and very helpful. We split the fried pickles, the batter was crispy and not too heavy. I had the turkey, ham, and bacon club. My husband had the biscuits with gravy and our daughter had a huge pancake. None of us managed to finish the large portions but enjoyed the meals. We will definitely come back. read more

This place was awesome! My wife and I recently moved to Carthage and wanted to try this place out as everyone we had spoken to in town had told us it was great. We walked in and immediately felt at home with the staff. They were so nice and friendly. I ordered the blueberry pancakes and eggs and my wife had the gravy and biscuits. The food took slightly longer than most diners, but that is ok because it is all freshly made. The Pancakes were amazing! The blueberrys were fresh picked and they tasted like fresh blueberry cobbler. The gravy was homemade and so were the biscuits, and being from the south this surprised me it was so good up here. All in all, if you want good breakfast, stop here! read more

Pretty decent food and prices. Parking isn't ever really an issue, like that you don't have metered parking. Only thing is if you are from out of town people stare at you makes it a bit uncomfortable. read more
