I want to start out with what I saw while enjoying this delicious breakfast. There was a customer that pulled in out front and our waitress stopped what she was doing to go and give a hand to someone who may have needed some assistance to get into the restaurant. Besides the fact that this place may not be exactly everyone's cup of tea, I'm going to say that it is definitely worth the stop. Sausage gravy and biscuits... get out. This was fantastic. Not sure what made this so good but it was my favorite by far of anywhere I have eaten. No joke. Old fashioned greasy spoon. Ok, I like nostalgia. I'd like my beater truck to work 100% of the time but that hasn't happened since the Carter administration. So, driving back from fishing in Canada my hooptie springs a leak in the radiator. Limped it across the border to Watertown at 0300 in the morning and found a repair shop. While waiting for it to be fixed, I walked up the street and found this old school diner-Jen's. Picture early a.m. , long countertop with stools occupied by bleary eyed factory worker 2 pack a day types , sizzling grill with classic breakfast grub stackin' up on the plates. Strong coffee brewing, donuts under a glass lid calling my name. "Whatcha havin' hun?" says the nice lady behind the counter. After a man sized breakfast, she was showing me pictures of the bass her son caught and sharing jokes like I was a local. Bottom Line: Next time your Dodge neon blows a hose....look around. Amazing little old school diner! Great prices and delicious food. While the regulars sit up at the counter discussing life and drinking coffee I sat in a booth and ate breakfast. Biscuits and homemade sausage gravy with chicken fried steak 2 eggs over easy and home fries made when ordered. My little one was with me and shared all my food. I must say she is a VERY VERY picky eater but because she could see the food being made she ate half of my plate. The employees more than friendly,understanding, and extremely accommodating about my little one. Will definitely be coming back often. read more
