Yes guilty as charged. But as we all know what as been going on lack of supply of equipment, engines, parts and accessories. As taken its toll on everyone. Fyi. Bob's shop has been operating with just the owner and the lady at the parts department and sales. And that in it of self can explain some of the poor attitudes. But not get off Scott free. And now for the good. I have returned back to Bob's as outdoor power equipment technician again as of one week ago. And are making some head way. But please understand that the supply chain problems still exist and getting items needed is pulling our hair out as well. And making it very difficult to give a accurate time estimate.so in closing please give Bob's bicycle and lawnmower another chance for your business. The counter person said "they have been doing this for a long time and have NEVER seen a defective part. I call hogwash on that. I am a retired Navy mechanic that has worked on everything from small engines & diesels to multi-million dollar jet powered support equipment and I HAVE seen my share of defective parts. Oh- they did offer to "look at my mower" but that's just a way for them to make more money off of you and try to find more wrong with your equipment and blame the operator or equipment for failure. Go to Pauli's Lawn Equipment; much better service and Danny not only works the counter, he works on equipment. Crank was straight so didn't bring back so you guys to tell me same and charge me for something else. The fact you wouldn't stand behind your product speaks volumes.... Thanks for at least the friendly counter service before I purchased the bunk part, that's why I at least gave two stars.

The only lead I got from local auto parts store was a place on Williams in Kenner but they no longer rent auto jack or jack lifts. Luckily I found this place on the internet. The guy on the phone was very nice and said that they rent these for $18/day. When I got there the place is very new and has lots of big light-heavy machinery for rent. In Austin I rent forklifts and skid steers quite often and have never seen a place that didn't look like a junk yard. The guy who helped me on the phone helped me in the store. I wanted to rent their jack lifts as well but he said that they would be too tall for my sedan. I asked about renting two jack lifts but he said that one should do. It is rare that a store clerk doesn't encourage an over eager customer to load up even if it isn't needed. If you ever need heavy equipment that you don't want to buy give them a call first. I even called a few auto parts stores back to let them know that there are local places that rent since they all just said I would need to purchase from them.... The guy who helped me even loaded the heavy part in the SUV for me.

The flowerbed/Alter originally had a wood border and it was looking shabby. I decided to invest in a rock border. On trip one , I bought 11 Colorado rocks as a nod to my Father's home state. This would give me a gauge on how many I needed. Trip 2, 22 more. All in all about 150$ spent for the border. The pond was another story with several trips until I realized I needed both base rock fill ins and the flagstone topper. I also purchased some water grass and a beautiful purple lily. Super happy with this family run biz and their help in consultation and loading. Easy to shop, grab a cart and start loading, from one rock to a truck full. no rock too small or toobig. I'm sad I don't need anymore rocks, maybe I will one day.....but dang if my yard don't look gorgeous because of them!!

The owner was very helpful with listening to my plans and providing recommendations of rocks based on capability to drain and aesthetics. I made about four trips in my truck to pick it up but had I known how much I really needed ahead of time, he would have delivered it for me. So yes, they will deliver. Regardless, he was kind enough to wait till I finished with my project to pay him at the end instead of making multiple payments every time I went there. Since that first time, I've actually gone back for other project needs and recommended him to friends and family. They have not been steered wrong by this company either. I dropped off a neighbors riding mower to get running and they got it running and fashioned a bracket to replace one that was broken without being asked. I've taken a couple of other tools over there and recently took my weedwacker over to show them a part that I wanted to get (the little rubber primer bulb) but they wouldn't order it for me. I brought my sputtering mower in, and was so surprised that Bo and team submitted the work as warranty as all was approved so no out of pocket expense! But beyond, when I picked up the unit..I had to ask Bo if they brought the right unit out to me..it was cleaned and tuned up to the point of looking and working as if I had a brand new machine! I come from the school of Lean Mfg. and just walking into their shop was pleasant--everything neat, labeled, organized, clean! I was so surprised that Bo wasn't out to charge outrageous money for and in fact suggested that he would try for Warranty approval first. ( I had taken this unit to a shop in Uptown, paid $90 in service fees, Owner had trouble even finding my unit, then told me he spray cleaned the carburetor, worked ok for 1 mowing ). I'm passionate about keeping my lawn up and so to have my mower returned almost like it was new..shiny, clean, and purring... thank you thank you thank you!

If you want soil of any kind this is your one stop dirt supplier! They sell different types of…read moresoils and mixes for whatever you want to do. For almost two decades I have purchased river sand (as clean and white as sandbox sand!), river fill (One cut above or below river sand that has some soil in it), garden soil, and now almost exclusively the 50-50 mix (50% river sand with horse manure, fodder, and coffee grounds). They sell by the cubic yard, and 1/2 cubic yard, and give a very generous yard of soil. I haul the soil in my full sized pickup truck and transfer to my wheel barrow for distribution to raise, level, fill in low spots in my yard and for my gardens. They are local & family owned. Debbie is normally in the office and her husband normally works on the operations side of the business. Both are fine people.
