Very disappointed with the experience. The crew started cutting trees without asking us to move our vehicles, and now both cars are covered in tree debris. A simple heads-up would have avoided this completely. I even tried calling the owner to address the issue, but the call was immediately hung up. That level of customer service and communication is very frustrating. Customers' property should be respected and concerns should be handled professionally. read more

Started with an estimate. Fairly high starting quote, then when I told them I'm getting another couple of estimates the salesman got progressively pushier while lowering down to 1/4 of starting quote. Even then I still said no because I'm just getting quotes. Got to the point of being rude and pushy so I walked away. The pushiness, rudeness, and aggressiveness and final quote also seemed way too good to be true. They also seemed upset with me when I asked for a copy of all their insurance coverages before I committed or signed anything. When I told them they were actually starting to freak me out, they got more pushy. I decided that if I can't trust them to give me a quote without drama, I can't trust them to do business at my house. As I walked away to go back into my house they yelled at me a little more. DO NOT USE THIS TREE SERVICE. Am giving one star only because I cannot give less. The WORST company to work with. Aside from being over priced, one of the co-owners was rudely overly aggressive to the point of being violent. Work was sloppy rushed and they left a total mess. Manny, the co-owner mentioned, demanded we pay in cash, which we refused. We had to warn him to stay off our property because of his aggressive, constant cursing, and violent behavior. The request for cash only should be a red flag to all and the IRS should investigate their business practices and the BBB should alert everyone to stay away. read more

We received a flyer from these guys. An agent came out the next day, discussed our job and gave a quote, which we accepted. The job requires a bucket truck, which was discussed. The crew showed up about 3 days later, with no bucket truck and were about to cut the trees down, rather than shaping up the canopy as discussed. My wife stopped them and tried to explain why, but couldn't communicate with them due to language barrier. They showed up again with the same intention a day later at dusk. I spoke again on the phone with the office, as no one understood English on site. They said they would be back again, with the truck. I'm still waiting. If they end up actually doing what was agreed to, I'll be glad to reconsider my rating, but not a dependable company. read more

These company trespassed onto my property to trim my privately owned trees. They did not have permission to come onto my property and climb my trees, they climbed up a neighboring fence, and then crossed over into my property and onto my trees. Not only is that illegal, it is irresponsible. Avoid these people at all costs. If they ever set foot only my property again they will be criminally trespassed and sued. read more

Absolutely not good . First they showed up at 6:30am . Second they used my equipment without permission to get on the roof. Third they cut more trees than nessasary. Fourth denied items fell on the roof when clearly they did. Fifth claimed no one could speak English when I questioned things. I had a very unprofessional and disappointing experience with Cheap & Great Tree Services. I was initially quoted $9,000 for a job that I had already received multiple quotes for around $3,500 at most, which was already a huge red flag. I wasn't able After discussing it further, I agreed to scale the work down to just cutting down the tree and pushing back the bushes for $1,700 instead of the original $9,000. When I called back to ask about a coupon I had (that I hadn't even mentioned during the initial quote), I was told it was "already applied," which didn't make sense. When I questioned it and asked to postpone the appointment, things quickly went downhill. Someone then got on the phone asking how much I wanted the work done for, which felt unprofessional and inconsistent. When I explained the actual coupon terms ($500 off jobs over $1,000 or 35% off jobs over $800), I was transferred to another person who immediately had an aggressive tone. At that point, I decided to cancel the appointment. Instead of handling it professionally, the representative responded with profanity and called me out of my name. Completely unacceptable behavior. Part of my neighbor tree laying on my fence.You would expect someone from the company to ask if it was okay to use my yard to perform the work. Used my AC unit as a prop to hold my neighbor fence. Suwannee/Duluth Georgia area. I cannot say enough how impressed we were with them. We had some very large limbs that broke on two massive trees during a storm. We also had an absolutely massive tree that was super close to and leaning over our house, in a very difficult spot to reach. They came and gave me an extremely fair quote within hours of my calling them yesterday. Then they came and started the job late the same day and finished it today (the next day). It was amazing to watch them plan and execute the massive tree removal. They were very careful and thorough. Their clean up was far better than we expected. I used cheap and great tree services today. I was skeptical at first because of the reviews and honestly they blew my expectations out of the water. They showed up around 7am today. They had to remove sections of two of my fences and complete a hard tree job (over 100ft tree surrounded by a pool and close proximity to my house). I was nervous because i just paid $5000 for my pool cover and recently got a new fence installed. I also had a sprinkler system around the area they were working on. They took about 6 hours to complete the work. They put back the sprinkler heads and the fence pieces they removed. They cleaned everything up after as well. I recommend using this company highly and advise you don't listen to the previous reviews. They were fantastic and i will definitely be using them again. read more

I reached out to them because I wanted to get a couple of different quotes and i got a coupon in the mail, but quickly cancelled my appointment with them after reading their reviews online. "Many" showed up to my house on a random morning (wasn't the day or time of my appointment that I originally had), called me 6 times, and banged on my door until I went outside. I work 3rd shift so I woke up and went outside to see what he would quote - he gave me an insanely high "discounted price" and would not leave until I agreed on a date for him to come back and cut the trees down and got me to sign some piece of paper with chicken scratch and bad English. Unreliable and inconsiderate. This was a 1 day job and I explained that the work had to be conducted during weekday business hours so their equipment wouldn't block my neighbors' driveways. I was told to expect them early on Friday morning. But they were a no-show. Finally I called around 10am. They said they'd be here between noon and 2. Again a no-show. Called back around 3:30 and they said it would be about 30 more minutes. Finally they showed at 5:30pm but were unable to finish because of the time of day. So they said they'd be back on Monday. I called to get an estimate and someone came out the next day on a Saturday. At first I just wanted an estimate but we agreed on a fair price and they came out that day and worked 4 hours and completed a massive tree project by the end of the day. I was very impressed with the clean up they raked up everything and hauled it all away. Before it was getting dark outside they were gone and you could hardly tell they were there. They took down a huge old tree that was dying right by my house and never hit it! They also trimmed two more trees for me while they were at the house. PLEASE READ On May 16, 2025, I hired Cheap and Great Tree Services to clear my backyard. I paid (cash price, receipt in photos) for all trees to be cut and all stumps to be ground. The crew worked while I was at my job, and when I returned that evening it was getting dark, so the work looked complete. The next day, May 17, I noticed several stumps had not been ground at all, just buried by the wood chips. On May 19, I contacted the company, sent photos as requested, and also asked about pricing to remove the large amount of wood chips left behind (2-3 ft deep across the yard). Since then, I have followed up multiple times (May, June, and most recently September 17) and each time I've been asked to resend photos. Despite doing so, I still do not have a scheduled date for them to come back and finish the job. Most recently, on September 17, I was told they would provide me a date by the following day, but when I called to follow up, the call was either disconnected or I was told "we don't have an answer yet." When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told someone would "get back with me," but no resolution has come. I want to be clear: I am not asking for anything extra -- only for the company to finish the work I already paid for. Once this is resolved, I will gladly update this review to reflect that the company stood behind their work. Key takeaway for others: do not pay until you confirm the job is 100% complete. When a neighbor is getting trees taken down by your company, you don't drop the tree in my yard and then don't clean up the mess!!

They arrived across the road before 7am, and they began using a woodchipper. it's common courtesy to not do this during hours when people are asleep, but it's also the law to refrain from these kinds of noises between 11pm-7am. They woke up myself and everybody in my house. I wouldn't trust the guys to be professional or to care about the law. read more

I have used these guys twice this year, and once in 2025 (2 large tree removals and some branch trimming, 3 large tree removals, and one removal of a big broken pine hung up on another tree). Each time they did great/extremely fast work, and came in $500 to $1,500 under what two other companies quoted me. Now I did negotiate price with them, and they honored the agreed upon amount after completing the jobs. I would definitely recommend this company unless you want to pay too much. The other companies estimates were too high in my opinion, which tells me they either have more operating costs or they're just being greedy with their profit margin. read more

Bad business approach. I got a quote for 2 trees, but then notified the office that I wanted just 1 tree cut down instead of 2. This notification came on Saturday. Crew showed up on Monday and proceeded to cut both trees. I called to try to get the cutting to stop but the manager(?) got on the phone and through prolific and imaginative use of numerous F bombs threatened to dump all of the cuttings at the end if my driveway if I did not pay the entire amount. He also said he may call the police if I did not pay. I relented just to end the issue but I would not recommend this company. If all you care about is the tree removal then they're fine. If you care about cleanup afterwards, careful with nearby items like sheds, plants and fences then look elsewhere. They busted a hole in the side of my shed, broke the fence gate destroyed plants and bushes. They don't call when they'll arrive (which was 6am before we were even up).
