Before I begin, let me state I use Yelp consistently but have never posted a review until today…read more I called and left a message around 1pm for ATL Tree All Stars last Tuesday to get a quote. Within 10 minutes I received a call back from Dale, the owner. He directed me to a local contact Adam as they divide the ATL market into smaller areas for better service. Adam and I spoke briefly about 10 minutes later and he asked if he could come by the house that afternoon to take a look at the work I needed. He showed up on time and provided the quote within minutes. My needs were not urgent so we agreed they would work my project into their schedule in the next few days. The next day I received a text from Adam confirming they would come the next. They arrived the next day on time and made quick work of my project. They were in and out within an hour and took great measures to protect the surrounding landscape (bushes, landscape lighting, pavers, etc.). Not only were they efficient, they cleaned the areas so well it was difficult to tell they had been there at all. Oh, and they also took care of some limbs I had pruned a few days earlier at no charge. Adam was very professional and courteous and reminded me what great customer service looks like. Not only that, but he's super knowledgeable about the local trees, bushes, and how to care for them. I've hired several companies in the past 15 years to do this type of work. We called that afternoon and set up an appointment with Jeff Stucker Monday morning. When he got here on time, he was shocked with how big the crack was. It was clearly an emergency situation and he was able to have a quote done quickly and a crew scheduled for that Friday morning. They were there early and worked thru the day and came back first thing Monday morning to finish it. After everything was cleared out they put the big things back in place and left it as clean as you could want after felling a 150+ year old tree. It was really big. We couldn't be happier with the work and professionalism. The cost at the end was the quoted price which was a very good price.

I heard horror stories of $16,000 removals and saw a swinging crane knock down my neighbor's chimney with a huge suspended log. My tree problem wasn't as big of a deal. I was lucky. That said, I called a few places and they either didn't want to be bothered by a 25 year old Leyland cypress over my sunroom, or wouldn't come out for a quote for a week, then said they'd schedule me for JANUARY (2 months later). I called Cathy in the afternoon and she booked Chris to give a quote in the morning. I hadn't had many quotes, but they were all above my comfort -- obviously there was plenty of work out there for months to come. Chris told me he could cut it safely and haul it for the lowest price. He also had a guy who would eliminate the stump and upturned roots for $100. But how long would I have to wait? "We can do it tomorrow afternoon between jobs." They brought a crew of 6 and saved my fence in the process (the tree was leaning over my fence, within two inches of the top). 4 of them hauled sections while two managed/climbed/cut. Chris came in to check and give instructions at the start and at the end of the project. He also reviewed the completion to make sure it was to my satisfaction. On the way out, at my prompting, he gave me some quotes on standing trees that I may want to take down in February when it's cheapest. Above and beyond: Since this was a neighbor's tree, Chris gave me good recommendations on what needed to happen with the remaining 15 Leylands that look at the end of their lifespan, crafted a letter for me to use as a template, and worked with me to make our 50/50 neighbor split easy. They kept in phone and text communication any time I had a question. He even wore a mask for our review without my request. Bonus: His stump grinder contact was reliable and reached out the next day without any prompting. Now it's like nothing happened! I hope to never have to call them again, but if I need some trees cut down, I'll call Cathy and Chris.

They came up with a plan and quickly executed the plan accordingly. I can't say enough about how nice this couple are, and how they worked us into a schedule as quick as they could. Their pricing was good as well! The did a great job, cleaned up afterwards, and even left choice logs for me to use for firewood upon my request. Very professional and courteous crew. One of the more expensive bids I received, but for the most part excellent at communication. They…read morecame out promptly and were extremely knowledgeable concerning what I needed done in addition to other issues they noticed. In trying to make things easier to handle, a worker was informed to cut off supporting branches of a huge limb that was perched on my tree. Doing so caused the limb to break free of the tree itself and not just pull out my power lines to my house, but also hit the roof in a way that caused the eaves and connected gutter to separate some from the roof itself. They did the job quickly and got all branches up as stated, but their cleanup afterwards was limited primarily to the branches and the initial blowing off of the roof to work on it. The roof and the walkway to my house were left covered in saw dust. Before I paid the company, their responses were quick and professional. After they left and I noticed the damage to the roof -- all that would be needed was to hammer the eaves back in and make sure no further damage is done to the gutter -- it took hours to hear back from the company. A week ago they said they would send someone out to do a quick repair and I imagine since they have the money, they have no need to try and continue to provide good service.
