I have been under Allstate's care ever since I left the womb, and Michael & his team have been terrific partners during the time that I've known them. I never really appreciated the value of having a good insurance agent and a world-class company supporting me until I had my severe vehicle accident about 2 years ago. I was stopped at a traffic light on Linebaugh Avenue at Sheldon Road in the Westchase area, when a lady came flying up from behind at close to 60 mph. She slammed straight into the back of my SUV, and caused significant damage to the vehicle and to me. Had I not been driving an SUV I doubt that I'd be here today. Oh by the way, the police report indicated that this woman was "distracted by texting", and she had no insurance. Michael and Allstate were there every step of the way, making sure that my SUV was repaired to factory-new standards, and that all of my medical and chiropractic bills were covered without any questions. Even the report that was given to me gave me a clean bill of health pretty much. This company leaves you without transportation to get to work and you have to redeposit on a new car after you just got the 1st car a few months prior. Not only that they do 0 investigation when somneone else causes damage to your car, and then they raise your insurance to recoup the money they paid out to the finance company for over a 3 year time recoup. Only way to keep them from recouping is to wait 6 months and switch insurance providers. My story is some drunk kids wrecked their new car at 5am on a Saturday morning and their car debris went under my car and punctured the oil pan. They made me responsible for the accident when I was trying to go to work to move my family out of the horrible place we are in now and the kids get away scott free because this company does not do their due diligence. after talking to several other people at my job they have ran in to the same issue with progressive. So I had to take my moving money and redeposit $5k to get a vehichle in order to get back and forth to work. Now I have to spend even more money to sue the kids, when I am trying to take care of a disabled wife, a blind daughter and me with anxiety and agoraphobia issues.
