However, I started noticing that every time I called for any questions or issues, I couldn't always get an answer right away or didn't receive a call back as promised. The final straw was when I received my renewal bill a few months back. Suddenly I was being charged $30/month more for no obvious reason, as I had not had any tickets, accidents or vehicle changes to cause an increase. I called to ask what was going on. The man I spoke with assured me it was because some discounts had "fallen off" my policy and he would work to get it straightened out, then call me back when it was done. I didn't receive a call back from him. I tried calling multiple times and couldn't get an answer from anyone. Finally, out of frustration I called and asked to speak with the office leader. She reviewed my file and said that the increase was actually due to "general rate hikes across the board" and had nothing to do with my discounts. I asked her what she could do to retain my business. She suggested lowering my coverage so the premium would drop. My coverage wasn't even that high to begin with. As someone who used to work in a different car insurance agency, I would never suggest someone lower their coverage as a first option. I was really surprised that's all they had to offer. They didn't really seem to concerned about my sudden rate hike. I started shopping around and found a quote with Geico. However, once we started to reup the insurance everything went down hill. My agent Addison is no longer an employee at this location, and boy do they miss her. She was fantastic and very proactive. I received a return call from Janean after leaving a couple of messages requesting electronic documents, I am legally blind. In fact, the wait for the docs were part of the reason we missed the deadline. It seemed all was going to work out when she left me a message that the docs had been emailed and ready for docusign. They never showed up. I left many messages over a couple of days asking her to resend them and leaving email addresses to make sure she had them correct. After I did not receive anything by phone or email, I tried calling a few more times. I finally chose a different prompt and Jeramiah answered the phone. He informed me that they were very busy due to the holiday weekend, which I understand. I mentioned to him I just needed to know if they can find coverage or if I need to look for a different agent. He then told me that if I do not hear from her by the end of the day, I should look for a new agency. I said really? I have been a customer of yours since around 1995, and he said Thank you have a nice day and hung up the phone on me. Needless to say I switched to a new agency that also saved me $500 for my homeowners from the quote Condon-Meek gave me. I do not know what has changed over there, but I have recommended many people to this group, and I will now do the opposite. Oh, and an entire week later I still have not received a call from anyone at Condon Meek Insurance. If a 0 was possible I would have given them a 0. If they treat their long term customers like this, how will they treat new ones.

I transferred my State Farm car and rental insurance to FL from VA in Feb 2015. The first switch I made was from an office in Tampa to this office in Clearwater. I made an appointment with Mike to talk about getting my very high rates lowered. My payment was lowered under $200 for one month October 2015. After that it shot back up over $220/month. Then I was hit by an out of town business man in a rental. What a nightmare trying to get them to start repairs. I was led in several different directions. I honestly thought that my State Farm agent and office were looking out for me when they said to let them take care of the repairs and they would go after the other party. That was not the case. Unfortunately they sent me to Ferman Ford who didn't even complete the repairs or do an alignment. Shortly after my repairs were done I had a tire go flat exactly were I was hit. Ferman Ford told me that I needed 2 new tires and this was not related to my accident. Did I mention that my 2014 Ford Fusion had less than 25,000 miles on it, and I bought it brand new? I'm now out $320 for 2 new tires, over $120 for the rental from Enterprise Rental, my $500 deductible and the accident was 2 months ago 4/4/2016. I went in to talk to my agent about the poor service at Ferman, my feeling of being taken advantage of with the tire replacement, my claim status and my ridiculous rates. Mike talked a lot, but did nothing. I know insurance is a business, but you should always feel like your agent has your best interest in mind. This one does not; nor does State Farm. Geico- here I come!!
