Not only are they grosser then licking a toilet, but they are also THIEVES!!!! Stole my phone and then claimed to have dropped it off when I was waiting outside the whole time Then when i call back. They say just get a new one. We can't afford to keep driving over to your house (3miles from them) even when I offered..yes I OFFERED...to give another ten dollars just to have them drop it off to me since I was still waiting out side. These are the dirtiest cabs I have ever seen. Worse than New York City cabs! The dispatch person is so rude and unprofessional. He is the first impression or clue as to what a bad experience Checker Cab will be. If you call for a cab during their "peak" hours they refuse to pick you up. The dispatch person is judgmental. He says the cabs are reserved for working people. He has no idea why you may not be working. Maybe a person works nights and needs a cab during the day. Maybe they have a disability. This is an unprofessional dirty company to be avoided. I now have a Lyft account. The cars are spotless and courteous drivers. They arrive 5-8 minutes after you order your puck up. Only a couple of dollars more for a great experience.. I hope that Lyft and Uber make Checker Cab go out of business. read more

First time using a cab service in my 34 years was last night when my car broke down. Called Checker then and my experience was excellent! They came quickly I assume the rate was fare less than 10 dollars to where I was going. Since last night I used them 2 more times today, (can't wait for my car to get fixed but...) they were curious and efficient each and every time. Cliche cab drivers middle aged, blue collar with great attitudes and good service. Treat others the way you want to be treated. I did and my experience was all the better for it. Never even road with them, but just watched one of their drivers lay on the horn for a good 10 seconds due to something that appeared to be their own fault. Then the driver skidded off so quick clearly very angry and was driving sooo close behind another car. I'm just glad I witnessed all this and was not involved at all because it felt like the cab driver was super reckless and could have crashed into someone at any moment. read more

I wish I didn't even have to give a star for this company. Checker Cab is one of the rudest taxi services I have had the misfortune of dealing with. As a courtesy, I usually call for customers where I work. Every time I have called Checker Cab they have been incredibly unprofessional! Rude on the phone, rude in person, and they are constantly hanging up and/or not answering their phone. Do yourself a favor and choose a different form of transportation! After using this cab service for 10 years i feel obligated to share my experiences. I make time calls almost every day. id say they are on time about 10% of the time. Today i called at 9:00 am for a time call at 11:15. No cab at 11:15 ok. i then called at 11:40 to see whats going on. " i dont have any time calls for that time". I said do you think you can get one to me? "ill send one right away." 12:30 comes around so i called work and explained i think ill just wait till i can get a ride from a friend. A checker cab (#5) drove down my street a little while ago, slowed down, and threw a piece of trash out the window into the middle of the street. As if that wasn't ignorant enough behavior, when my husband went out to throw it away, he discovered it was a paper towel with bits of poop on it! I don't even want to venture a guess at what that driver has got going on in his cab. Disgusting. Suffice it to say that if I ever need a cab, I'll walk before calling this company. read more

WORST CAB COMPANY EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Called them at 11:50AM they got here at 12:42PM. No sorry just RUDENESS. The dispatcher is a rude old man. If you don't like your job QUIT. I called to find out what the holdup was and he said "We will get there when we get there" WOW and this isn't the first time I've used them. I usually call at least an hour to hour and a half BEFORE I have to be in work. I really wish they would be prompt. If I had a car I wouldn't need them but unfortunately I can't afford a car. I hate this company due to their rude, unprofessional tone and demeanor over the phone. Why the hell are they still in business????!!!!!! They don't say their names, they don't give you the chance to ask questions to confirm anything because they quickly and rudely hang up on you. They act like they don't care about where you're going or how you're going back. They don't even sometimes say thank you for calling them. If I did not have to I would not deal with this unprofessional, rude so called "business." I get anxiety every time I know I have to call these rude people. And whenever I do experience a nice experience it's irregular. I wish for this company to lose clients and go out of business. Most of the cab drivers are rude and just not friendly and I do not tip the drivers because of what I experience. I refuse to tip this poor, petty excuse of a "business."
