They kept $1995 from my security deposit for returning the keys two days late. Its not like we…read moredidn't try to return it in time. They office was closed and we weren't sure where to drop it. We dropped it two days later as per their advise and was in constant communication about throughout the process. All they cared about was that the key was returned late and as a penalty, a month's rent shall be withheld from security deposit. They emailed us warning about the fee but who in the world charges that amount??? It seems like they just wanted a reason to keep our deposit.
