Geico Insurance

Geico Car insurance is basically a scam operation. You can pay every month hundreds of dollars and…read morethen you have an accident, that was not even your fault, and they will not help you. The phone service is either non-existent or abysmal. It's worse than the worst customer service you can think of, worse than Verizon, BGE, anything. If you ever do actually get ahold of someone who will take information regarding your claim, good luck in getting the claim processed, good luck getting it paid for, or getting any follow thru. Theirs is just a call center of people who don't care about anyone or anything, and don't even pretend to want to help. And, have a nasty attitude on top of everything. They also refuse to pay for what is necessary, even if THEIR OWN BODY THAT THEY WORK WITH SAYS THAT IT IS NECESSARY. THEY WILL STILL SAY IT IS NOT NEEDED. THEY ARE JUST A LAZY, CHEAP, SCAM ARTISTS sitting at a desk, ignorant of anything regarding cars or mechanics, but will pretend to know more than the head mechanic of a shop they recommended. Because they are liars, cheats, and swindlers. That's why they have so many 1 star reviews. Also, I agree about their fake "roadside service". Ha ha ha. You don't have to be in rural Indiana to not get help. Right in a busy suburb of DC or Baltimore, they say they have no one to send. They don't care if it is 95 degrees out and you have no A/C cause you can't start your car. They don't care if you faint and die. They will basically tell you to drop dead. I know because it happened to me. They are the scum of the earth, they do not even pretend to care, or pretend to provide a service, they just take your money because they know it is illegal to not have auto insurance, and you are a captive audience.

Their "roadside assistance" coverage is a joke. They made no effort to find me a tow service in…read morerural Indiana; just told me to find my own tow, pay out of pocket and they would reimburse me. Btw, tow services require cash payment, up-front. Which is WHY people pay extra each month for "roadside assistance" in the first place

Don Morlan - State Farm Insurance Agent

Like a good neighbor (your) State Farm (agent Don Morlan) is there", NOT. I recently left Don…read moreMorlan after ~35 years of business due to an absent agent who is rarely in his office, who does not return his phone calls, who will not share his personal phone number, who cannot answer technical questions about the policies he sells you, who refused my request (due to an accident concussion) for him &/or his staff to help with one simple task that required them to drive to the West side of SB & view my totaled car after an accident, and who hired a curt office manager who is unfriendly & renders poor customer service. This incident recently pushed me over the edge: after an accident my drivers license surpirsingly got suspended even though I was verbally assured by his Office Manager that my "Certificate of Compliance" had been electronically submitted to the BMV. I got stranded while out of State & could not rent a car and continue my vacation as planned. I requested proof of submission & learned that there was a log but "no entry" that my transaction had actually transpired. There was also previous misadvice too, ~21 years ago, that I should have acted on further with a mortgage insurance policy. My advice based on experience: Run, don't walk, away from Don Morlan & his business practices. I hope that my new State Farm agent can execute my 5 policies accurately & will be willing to go above & beyond when there is a dire need.

Great experience with the Korhorn team over the years. I went in thinking that I was well schooled…read moreon investments as well as my overall financial picture, over the last two years I have received excellent support and help. I never had a financial planner before and was use to taking investment advise from my CPA, friends, and news media. I had no idea of how much I didn't know. From investments, to savings, to taxes, to insurance, to estate planning I have received some great advise and council. I work with Matt Hoke regularly but also interface with many others in the team. Everyone is helpful with outstanding communications. Recent examples including changing my auto insurance coverage, transferring an inherited IRA for my wife, and researching some REIT investment options. Recommendations and decisions are always made based on my needs and comfort. Never am I pressed to pick a particular product or make an immediate decision. We work collaboratively on decisions, and Matt always validates my understanding with decisions we make. My regular meetings with Matt allow me to discuss my overall financial plan and needs, assess changes I need to consider (e.g. establishing a trust to avoid probate for our heirs), and strategize investment plans and strategies. We discuss a multitude of topics in our meetings such as decision to purchase additional long term disability from my employer, 401K investment choices, and investment risk/risk tolerance. Last year my employer due to Obamacare, changed their heath care options. I discussed options, tax impacts, and coverage levels with Matt. My choice of a high deductible plan was made based on these discussions. I and more importantly, my wife is very pleased with these decisions. I am 100% satisfied with the help and support that I have received from the Korhorn team and intend to continue as a customer.

I would rate the service and advice that received from Mike at 5 stars, but the way that he…read moresuddenly and with NO NOTICE NOR ANY EXPLANATION dismissed us from the practice I am only giving it 1 star. We had complete confidence in Mike and were expecting to have a long term relationship with this company providing us with financial advice. Instead, out of nowhere, Mike told us at the end of one meeting that neither he nor anyone else at the firm could provide services to us. So just like that we were left with no financial advisor!! For that reason I would suggest not getting involved with this firm -- you never know if they are going to spontaneously decide they no longer want your business.
