The salon environment I'm used to is kind of rigid and can add a lot of stress to someone with an already stressful career; so I was surprised with how relaxed the atmosphere was. I had one instance when there was a client in the chair ahead of me and I'm no good with waiting too long. But after letting her know she has been very accommodating. When I go to Tan's salon, I get the full wash and retie service. I love that I do not have to stress about anything to prep for the service like washing and separating Locs. When I first came to her, my scalp was flaky and my edges were falling out. They have since started to regrow and the flakiness is minimal. My husband is now having her maintain his Locs as well.

They didn't speak English nor ask any questions to help the process so I was optimistic. I was given a deep condition without being asked. Then, after being rolled--I noticed under the dryer that it was set to "Perm." I had been under long enough for my roots to dry so I went to get my hair done and they started. RED FLAGS ALL AROUND. The biggest was that for the woman to keep burning me and saying sorry--my hair was not silky straight like usually. My roots feel like my hair won't last the week. My hair finished so ugly. I gave them an opportunity to fix it, but it kept getting worse. I gave up and I asked how much. The price went up to $55. Not much, but they couldn't explain why. I showed pictures of how my hair usually is and they claimed it's "too short," but they would need to cut it. It was shorter in one of the pictures, and cutting it wouldn't help if length was an issue. I definitely need a trim, but I was absolutely NOT letting them do it. They can't even style properly so absolutely NOT. I WILL NEVER GO BACK AND I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS SALON TO MY WORSE ENEMY. After visiting Salon Margarita--I need a margarita.
