We talked first and decided to just cut it to my arm pits. But then we cut a little more. She also gave me layers and framed my face. She also gave me instructions on a product to use to let my hair air dry. I'm unable to put a lot of product in while standing for so long due to a back injury. I just love my hair. She explained completely what she was going to do and gave me a budget on how much it would be. I paid my deposit and set up the appointment for the "procedure" . During my service she and the rest of the team were super friendly and fun you can tell they're very knowledgeable about their craft and work together as a team. I enjoyed the whole process of my color and cut; Khaliyah was so patient with me while I was trying to makeup my mind about what I wanted, I'm glad I listened to her advice because we ended up with a beautiful healthy gorgeous hair. So, I felt the need to wait until I had time to style my hair to see what it looked like so that I could post a review about my entire experience with Kevin - from the consultation to styling. I have now styled my hair after his coloring....AMAZING! I have gone to two highly recommended natural hair stylists and was disappointed with the coloring (and out of over $100 both times). I said I'd try Kevin based on a friend. I chose to do the consultation (I recommend it). We talked about what I was looking for in color. He showed me some light colors that had me a bit concerned (being honest). But, it's hair...I live on the edge and went with his explanation that it wouldn't come out that light. I came for my appointment, reiterated the vibe I was going for: noticeable lighter brown with some depth, but nothing too drastic and odd. He took that and ran with it. I had no clue what he was doing while coloring, but he took my 'vision' and threw on a couple of colors to get this AWESOME look! Here's my color! Hair feels fine; no dryness, no breakage so far (and no bleaching). I have no problem paying big bucks for color as long as it's GOOD! This was money well spent. I've gotten sooooo many compliments on this color. I've finally found a colorist that I will allow in my hair a second time!

My current stylist of 4 years recently had a baby and was traveling overseas for the next few months. Anyways, I'm so happy with the final product. Stacy took care of me within a moment's notice, and worked with my schedule. I received a color and keratin treatment, then came back and got extensions. She seems to care about hair and doesn't stop until it's right.
