The portion sizes were also more than enough for the both of us and most times we even had leftovers for the next day. My wife also loved the lactation cookies so I asked if we could have the recipe and they were so kind to give it to us. Overall I would recommend Ma's Oasis to anyone looking for postpartum meals. We ordered the 30day and the Ma's Oasis team made us feel really supported throughout the entire duration of the service. Alice was also extremely kind and accommodating throughout my 30 day plan. She would check in on me to see how I was doing and if I was enjoying the food. They also had a variety of different foods which I liked because I didn't get tired of eating them. I was surprised they even had wontons, dumplings, and noodles! All so good!! The entire management "team" is horribly incompetent. I can't tell you how many times I have disputed charges from this company, but the last straw was when I discovered a large green stink bug buried in the couscous of one of their teriyaki steak meals. Complete health code violation, I had to report them to the LA Board of Health. It's like they purposely go out of their way to be a terrible company, save yourself a headache- there are so many better options out there!

Unfortunately, our most recent order left us puzzled (and not in the "hmm, what's this new flavor?" kind of way). We found a cigarette butt in one of our soups. Yes, you read that right -- dinner came with a surprise side of nicotine. To their credit, Jen Meals' customer service manager Tiffany was responsive and apologetic (screenshots attached for transparency). But the bigger concern is that they couldn't guarantee this wouldn't happen again. Their own words suggested they're still trying to figure out how a cigarette got into their kitchen when none of their staff supposedly smokes. Not exactly the type of mystery you want served with your congee and herbal tea. . Look, mistakes happen, but as a consumer, it's hard to enjoy food when there's a possibility of finding... well, anything besides food. The meals are tasty, but I'd encourage anyone considering Jen Meals to think twice and maybe ask a few extra questions about their food handling practices. After all, you shouldn't need to worry about secondhand smoke in your soup.
