If I could give this place a ZERO I would. I hesitated to write a review because someone I know…read morealways bragged about the place on social media. The food looked pretty good in a few photos too. My husband and I decided to give this Black Owned restaurant a try. The place was not well lit inside, but seemed clean but more of a take out place that a sit in, but there was lots of room to sit if one did choose to dine it. I should've known the food wasn't going to be good when I saw they sell store bought cake to resell. I don't mean like caramel or chocolate, this jokers were selling sheet birthday cake. My husband and I were hungry due to running a lot of errands early in the day. They had lots of options to choose from. I decided to have the fried beef ribs, greens, and baked beans. My husband had the jumbo neck bones, greens, and cabbage. I looked at the places in the dimly lit eatery and saw that what we ordered was in the containers. I mentioned how huge the neck bones were because the container could hardly close. The cashier offered me a free drink which was kind. Who knew that drink would be the BEST THING THEY MADE. We got the food home and saw that the greens came from a can. You know the cheap chopped greens in the can? The cabbage was like wet mashed potatoes, the cornbread (jiffy type) was undercooked, the fried beef ribs were merely fried fatty bones. My husband's neck bones were actually FRIED! You needed to have the teeth of a Piranha to eat them. We just chalked it off to spending money to learn the lesson of not eating there and not referring anyone else to eat there. They should be ashamed. I wonder where the so called Chef went to culinary school or do people just proclaim themselves that these days. The decent reviews are from those who probably bought wings or fried fish and friends. I can't think of any meal I've had that was worse.
