I have been taking cooking lessons from Chef Kevin Brothers and I want to encourage others to do the same. We discuss the meal/lesson in advance. He brings all the ingredients and I mostly cook the meal under his tutelage and guidance. He documents the process (recipe) and emails it to me so I can recreate it myself. Kevin deeply understands the science of cooking. He is an expert on flavors and flavor combinations. He has a deep understanding of nutrition and health and he is an expert chef with the skills and technique of a master (at least it appears that way to me). I hired Kevin to prepare weekly breakfasts and dinners for me during a very busy time in my life. I was thoroughly impressed with his menus, cleanliness, time management, professionalism and friendly personality. He left my kitchen cleaner than it was when he first started working for me! I like that he consulted with a nutritionist to develop menus that fit my health goals and it never once felt like I was eating "health food". I never knew vegetables could taste so great! We had chef Kevin come to the house for a Valentine's Day dinner. He served and took care of 8 of us. Kevin and his wife were amazing. We had a great time with them. The food was incredible. His sommelier suggested pairings for us and they were all spot on. The only issue I have is that someone may book him before me for next years valentines. This will be a yearly occasion for sure. The food was gorgeous, inventive and so yummy! (Guests who claimed to dislike mushrooms and beets were licking their mushroom & beet covered plates!) What a wonderful meal! Our 2 children & their spouses offered us this dinner for 6 paired with wines as a special thank you for us taking everyone to France on vacation. Kevin was charming, professional, knowledgeable and an excellent chef. He was so easy to work with on the menu and everything came together splendidly. Both my husband who is French and I are foodies and I love to cook. But it's exhausting to do this as often as I used to. So this gift from the heart was truly a fantastic treat for me.
