Hats off to Marianna and team! They are phenomenal!!! Marianna's food is very tasteful and presentable, it is sure to impress your audience. I love that she is self sufficient and easy to work with. In every bite you taste the goodness of the organic local farms. Marianna is so crafted and passionate about her work. I recommend her food and catering services to everyone! You will be very lucky to have her as your chef.

Chef Mariana and her staff were exceptional. We hosted a party for 30 and she helped to propose a very special dinner menu. She was extremely responsive by email, easy to accommodate special dietary needs and helpful to propose alternatives to menu selections. Our dinner included a table spread, delicate/pomegranate tarts, wild mushroom/fontina hand pies, dungeness crab tostada salad, lobster mac and cheese, lamb lollipops, mini filet mignon wellington and pear/almond tarts. When the team of 4 arrived, she took over without any hesitation or need for instructions. The food was delicious and our party could not say enough amazing things about the quality and taste of the food. One quoted "BEST party ever". One of the servers passed food on beautiful displayed wood trays and helped to serve beverages as well. The food service and timing was spaced nicely, the temperature and freshness of each section was perfect and they helped to clean the kitchen and put everything away by the end of the night. I wish I had taken photos of each food tray, but unfortunately only have the photo of Chef Mariana bringing the cake. I highly recommend Chef Mariana, she is a gem.

Chilled corn soup with creme fraiche

Chef Mariana is absolutely amazing! We hired Mariana for an intimate anniversary dinner for my parents. She designed an incredible 4-course meal and everything was perfectly executed and beautifully plated -- we couldn't decide which course we liked best because they were equally unique and delicious in their own way. The menu included chilled summer corn soup with a creme fraiche. The salad was stone fruit and avocado with sun gold, basil and kalamata croutons, followed by octopus and potato salad with a lemon and oregano vinaigrette. The main course was a whole grilled branzino served with a fennel, grilled citrus, seafood sicilian fregola - truly incredible. Mariana arrived with everything that she needed, was super professional and friendly, and left our kitchen completely spotless by the time she left. The food was delicious (made with fresh ingredients from local farmers markets) and the flavors were spot on. We are looking forward to the next special occasion and opportunity to hire Mariana!

    The terrific threesome!

He's a great teacher, a fun person and was full of energy and kept the program moving. I've already been receiving multiple comments from the participants, all who enjoyed their time at the event VERY MUCH! Chef Carlos was AMAZING! It was 1AM in Madrid and you would never know it from his abundant energy, fun personality and professional teaching skills. His camera angles showed us each step and he kept the show at a high, entertaining level. We were all VERY impressed. Our Cooking Event was a complete success! Thank you, Debbie, Chef Carlos and everyone at Cozymeal!!! I'm so glad I found YOU, Chef Carlos and Cozymeal and we were able to share this experience with my colleagues. I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. Very professional, very personal and very kind. The world needs more Debbies and Carloses!!!

booked Cozymeal's "Chef Rick / Latin Cuisine Made Easy" experience as a birthday event for my wife…read more It was advertised as a hands-on cooking class where we would create a four-course Latin-inspired meal with instruction. That is not what happened. There was essentially no hands-on cooking. My wife and I repeatedly asked how we could help, and the only participation we were given was washing lettuce and chopping a small amount of pepper. There was no meaningful instruction, no real teaching, and very little engagement. The ingredients were also very disappointing for the price. Store-bought tortilla chips were used despite the menu advertising homemade chips. The carne asada was supposed to include chimichurri, but it was seasoned with store-bought seasoning from a jar and no actual chimichurri was prepared. I contacted Cozymeal immediately with detailed feedback. After delays, they refused to refund the booking and offered only a 15% gift card toward another Cozymeal experience, which is useless because I would never use them again. This was an awful experience and Cozymeal did not stand behind it. I would strongly recommend avoiding this platform.

The Story of Ramen is located in the Mission so parking was a little tricky. We got to the general area 20 minutes before so that we could get a decent parking spot. We did the 4 hour advanced workshop where we learned about how to prepare the broth, marinated eggs, chasiu pork, tare seasoning and how to make the ramen. For that day, there were 5 other pairs. Our teachers Manville and Jeff, guided us through every step of the arduous process of making the perfect bowl of ramen. The workshop started off with a lecture about the history of ramen and the creation of The Story of Ramen. Of all the tasks we did, my favorite was making the ramen itself. After learning in detail how much work goes into making ramen, I appreciate ramen more than I ever did before. This was a great team building activity and something new for us. I highly recommend this and of course you get to eat the bowl of ramen you make at the end of the workshop!

The communal table seating is a fun way to meet new people, talk about shared passion for food & culture. The food was beautifully presented & delicious! Chef Gracie & her crew did a wonderful job. The dining tables had small appetizers waiting for us upon arrival to graze and enjoy until the formal service started. I overheard her say that she knew we'd be hungry so she prepared some wonderful breads & dips in advance. The strawberry soup was interesting, not too sweet but had savory toppings that added flavor & texture. The beet salad and duck were presented family style and the duck was perfection, tender & flavorful. Dessert (lemon gelato) was served individually & was a refreshing end to our meal. Each course was paired with a wine where the history of the wine was shared by the sommelier of the evening. Overall, a fun event with delicious food & we met some interesting people.

Luckily, it's in the Mission, so there are other things to do to make the parking garage fees worth it. They measure and prep the ingredients for you. The specific class I took didn't require much action other than combining, stirring, and a tiny amount of chopping. You're in groups, so you can skip doing anything you don't want to do. The assistants are friendly and super talkative. Eating at the big table with everyone else was fun. They had beer, wine, and a nonalcoholic cocktail as well. I came with someone, but I think going solo wouldn't be too awkward. It's almost $200 for 3 hours and it's pretty inconvenient since I don't live in the area, but I'd recommend it for a fun evening!
