Guests loved the food- it was all delicious- and plentiful - and beautifully plated. Chef Scipios worked with me to create an excellent menu that worked for both vegetarians and meat-lovers. The next morning he returned to our airbnb with breakfast for 20 people. We are still talking about the delicious frittata and the rest of the food- both at breakfast and at dinner. Chef Scipios was very professional and easy to work with. He made the dinner and breakfast successes. I would definitely use him again.

Summary: Chef Carlos' overall service did not live up to expectations. When a partial refund was…read morerequested, Carlos agreed to it but ultimately did not honor his word and still has not responded months later. For my sister's 50th birthday party in New Orleans, I decided to hire a private chef from the area. I reached out to several, and Chef Carlos stood out as not only available, but at the time he was responsive, flexible, and he had plenty of menu options at a reasonable rate. I read his reviews, checked his socials and past clients seemed pretty positive about his service. I was initially excited to work with him. One item not on any of the menu options was the seafood gumbo, and I asked Carlos if he offered this off-menu. He said he did, but it would cost extra. I told him I'd be willing to pay if his gumbo was really good, to which he replied, "If it's not the best you ever had I'll give you your money back." Bet. The party was during Mardi Gras weekend, and we coordinated a time to have the food dropped off. Parade traffic had him arrive nearly FOUR hours late. I was stressed but actually very understanding, considering I had a house full of guests waiting for the chef to arrive. The quality of the food overall, however, was not AT ALL worth the long wait. Based on the reviews I read, I was expecting to be blown away, yet everyone agreed there was a lack of flavor in all of the dishes. Both the cornbread and the bread pudding were undercooked, soggy and wet in the middle. Plus, the seafood gumbo was NOT the best we've ever had: it was super watery and most of the guests found the taste too salty. We ended up throwing out most of it since no one even wanted to have it as leftovers. I reached out to Chef Carlos upon my return home with my concerns and requested my money back for the additional cost of the gumbo, per his guarantee. He told me that he would send the partial refund, but after multiple follow ups, I still have yet to receive any reply or any refund.

I recently happened upon her cuisine by way of a friend and I am so thankful for the share. Chef Shonda offers fine dining food to go, and when I say it's fine, it truly is. I would expect some of the dishes that she provides to be on a menu at an upscale restaurant. I love the fact that she is accommodating to patrons regarding their food needs. I have a few food constraints, hunnnnniiiieeeeeee, me and dairy are not friends... She makes certain to advise of the food ingredients in the event that you have a food allergy or something of that nature. On this particular day, I had jerk salmon, yellow rice & sautéed veggies; and it was simply amazing. I love salmon and the jerk sauce that she put on top was phenomenal. I didn't think that I could love salmon anymore than I already do. But that jerk sauce that she puts on it takes salmon to a whole 'nother level. And the yellow rice was accompanied with the mixed vegetables, simply divine. When eating the yellow rice I noticed each individual grain was separate and not sticking to the fork or another grain. It was light, fluffy and full of flavor. The vegetables were perfectly sautéed. There were no burnt marks on them. None were over or under cooked. Oh, and don't even get me started on the peach cobbler cheesecake. Oh well, see, you got me started so here we go... I ate mine and had to call back and ask if there was more. So happy she was able to accommodate me because I had two servings of the peach cobbler cheesecake, oh chile, it was great. Can I tell you the truth and let you know I ate my entrée and my dessert at the same time. Literally one spoon of the entrée... One spoon of dessert. #judgementfreezone The packaging and containers that the food was served in was above board for takeout. I mean it's personally labeled, very neat and orderly. I feel like I should pay extra just because of the nice packaging. She provides plastic and not that UNenvironmentally friendly Styrofoam. Her food is finger licking good from start to finish. As you can tell, look at the lack of contents of my bowl (see picture), there's a before and after, notice the difference? Hats off to Chef Shonda and her team job. Well done. I look forward to more takeout moments with Chef Shonda.

I've lived in the parish most of my life, so I've purchased food from here for years. Whether it…read morewas fish to take home to cook, boiled seafood, fried seafood plates, or even stuff from their cold section I've tried a good bit. Last Friday I went and got 2 stuffed crabs(in the picture). Initially I was like $13 for the two scoops of stuffed crab seemed high but I know crabmeat is expensive. Right when I was about to pay for my food the hot crawfish came out so I had to get a taste and ordered 3lbs. My total was about $33. Prices are cheaper if you pay with cash (they list the price with cash and the price if you are paying with card) so I'd say bring some cash. The crawfish were good as usual and were a nice size. Other things I've had in the past that I enjoyed were the crawfish fettuccini, shrimp poboy, fried fish plate, and potato salad. There is seating available inside but it's not a big place so a big group would probably need to get their food to go. Also this is a pretty popular place especially on Fridays so expect to wait in line or you can call and order your phone ahead of time (which I usually do).

Everything was really good and flavorful. The seafood had a nice flavor without being too spicy. It wasn't spicy at all to me but it did have a little kick. The service was really good as well. We almost forgot our snow crabs but they made sure we got them! I know where to get some good boiled seafood now.
