I love roast beef. But to me, it's special occasion food. We only really get to eat roast beef when there's a catered party at home (our caterer makes really yummy roast beef, but that's another story) or when we stay in hotels, which is a rarity these days. But like my love affair with Lechon, I like roast beef and me to move past the "special occasions only" level to a sort of "whenever I feel like eating it" level. The only problem there is where?
Good thing Chef Resty's Roast Beef Carving Station opened in Robinson's Las Pinas. The area isn't that big as it's located near the food court, but it's good enough for me. I have never tried Chef Resty's roast beef prior to that, so I didn't know what to expect. But I tried it and it was top notch; the meat was tender and the gravy was delicious. The mashed potato was the perfect partner to it (the serving was too small though, in my opinion).
Now I can have my roast beef any time I want (yaaay!). I think more people should eat here, for my own selfish reason that I don't want Chef Resty's ever leaving that spot in Robinson's. Just kidding. The roast beef is really good! Just a tip though, stick to the roast beef; hubby ordered the Pesto Pasta and he said it was just blah. I'll try it next time though to see if he's right. read more
