SUCH an awesome place to camp over July 4 weekend... i highly…read morerecommend it to everyone! just be early birds like us and find out the first day you can call and reserve for this holiday weekend, note your calendar and just call and do it :) am glad i took my coworker's advice and reserved at this place... she had told me that they have an amazing fireworks show there (not presented by Lake Mayfield Resort and Marina, but by neighbors near by and maybe the town of Mossyrock?)... she was so right! this campground is very clean and well kept. we liked walking across the boat-dock and over to the little island next door as well and up to the lighthouse. the bathrooms were so clean! in all my years of camping, these are some of the nicer bathrooms we have ever seen - it's so sad that even state parks don't seem to keep up with private campgrounds! the saturday night dance was cool too and looked like fun for the whole family. having an on-side store was great too and considering they're a campground, the prices at the store were surprisingly reasonable! kind of bummed that the restaurant was closed, but apparently it is re-opening in 2020. they had a taco truck there though (**very smart**) - we never tried it but heard good things from camp-neighbors. i highly recommend this place.

We had to ask them to remove the pile by our cabin (Oar House) to avoid the bees and nasty flies everywhere. And garbage piles were not in just 1 place, it was horrifying. So we decided to drive up before our next big group visit.... the place was definitely cleaned up. BUT, they have a new restaurant and bar on site, if we stayed at the Oar House again we would get to sit next to a full bar with beer garden and an air vent that is so loud you can talk to each. The island is closed. The bar is not apart of RV instyles, so dealing with loud drunk people and people driving back and forth is not appealing, not a relaxing vacy on the lake. We cancelled in plenty of time. It is September and I still have not recieved my full refund from June. My group ALL of them have experience issues with getting money back when their policy is 100% refund. I think they just changed it to non-refundable, that would be because they are losing regular customers. THey just simple ignore you, I even received an unavailable to email them too. My advice, DO NOT GIVE your money to them, you will not get it back, they will avoid you. It is so sad because I use to love coming here with family and friends. We wil still come to Lake Mayfield, just not here!

I do prefer the one in Southern California because the water area is a lot bigger. But I do like this one in Washington state because the rope course was amazing, and golf is actually really fun. I did enjoy the two young gentlemen they look to be like highschoolers or college kids that were dancing for the kids and wearing the T-shirts. They were so nice of my kids enjoyed dancing with them. I only knocked off a star because we stayed in the grizzly suite. It was a two bedroom suite that we stayed in. And there was a lot of little flies everywhere. And the bathroom had no wash soap in it. So we couldn't even take a shower using the liquid with soap we had to use a bar soap so it'll be nice if you know the Housekeeping can fill that for the next guest. But even with the waterpark being so small, my kids who are ages three, four, five, and six years old. All really love the waterpark so that's why I read it so high. Because as long as they had fun, I'm all good with that.

As one of my primary spirit animals, wolves have such a profound effect on my behavior, personality, and even appearance. My monochrome wardrobe is inspired by the gorgeous shades of color that wolves are comprised of and I even have an inclination towards the moon because of wolves. I also love the cold and perpetually embody the elegance and grace that makes these creatures so irresistible. It is a medium size rest area and the bathrooms can have fairly long lines as times, especially if one of the restrooms is being cleaned. Thankful they have more than one for each gender. For the most part is has been clean. The parking spaces have been easy to navigate in a small car (more recently) as well as the family minivan (when I was growing up). Outdoor grassy area(s) with picnic tables provide space to walk and/or eat while stopped. There is posted information near the restrooms that may be helpful on one's travels.

It gets five stars because the room was comfortable, the breakfast was good, but most importantly, we actually found a place to stay. So they get an extra bump up perhaps, for just being there. In any case, it was a little more spending than we would've liked, but still a nice stay.

I used Twin Transit while staying in a hotel for a little over a week. This service operates only…read moreduring daytime hours (up to somewhere between 6:00 and 7:00 PM) during the week with limited service on Saturday. There are four bus lines with transfer points for transferring between lines. I only used the Red Line, Bus Route 30. It routes through major points in Chehalis to include the Safeway Grocery then to the very cute old part of Chehalis, past the Fairgrounds, Wal-Mart, and all the way up to Amtrak. If you are staying in any of the hotels on Interstate Street in Chehalis, it's a brisk half mile walk to the closest bus stop, which is Route 30. The stop is at the Safeway, but it's in the back, behind, on 11th street, and it's near the garbage container so a little smelly. On the other hand, if you are staying at any of the RV parks, they are too far away from any bus stop. I found their schedules hard to read and somewhat confusing. For example, Bus Route 30 makes a complete loop. The Lewis County shopping mall is on Hampe Street, which can be accessed on both sides of this loop. The schedule does not make it clear whether the bus accesses the mall going north or going south on the loop. It doesn't even address WHEN it stops at this mall. From riding the loop, I discovered it DOES access the mall from both sides of the loop. Well, it would have been nice to know that on the schedule....... Another issue was that since it was a "loop," well, when the bus finishes the "loop" at the last "time point," does it start over again, or do they put another bus at "time point #1" at the beginning of the loop and you have to transfer to another bus if you happen to be on it going that direction? Found out it does keep going on the next scheduled loop, but it would have been nice to have that clarified on the schedule. I think there are so many situations like this that it would make their schedule too complicated and they are just trying to keep it easy and keep the schedule to one page. Another rider on the bus kind of joked, "This is usual for Centralia/Chehalis, they give you limited information and you have to fill in the blanks....." The busses are about the size you would expect but I was surprised at the small number of seats in the bus. They space the seats farther apart than the seats on busses in larger cities. Even a tall person can ride comfortably. In large cities, even though I'm short, I feel crunched in the seats, but on the Twin Transit bus, I had a lot of leg room.
