    Roomy spot

I am actually hesitant to say too much good about this place. Once word it, this gem will fill up fast. It's our favorite spot at the beach. Super friendly hosts, spotless bathrooms and showers, community use BBQ and grill. Safe for the kids to run around and play. Lots of room for backing in your campers. Love it here.

This was our maiden voyage in the RV. We chose lamp camp because of the amenities offered. When we arrived we were welcomed. The park has, I would say, above average spaces. There were two parking spots for site. The hook ups had two options so you could park in the middle of your lot or off to the side. We did not need to use any levelers. Very peaceful stay. There's a really nice group fireplace, clubhouse, laundry, showers and restroom. There's a straight trail to the beach with the entrance well marked by a driftwood pavilion. We enjoyed walks on the beach and we are gifted with multiple bald eagle sightings. The host and hostess couldn't be any nicer, really felt welcome. We would definitely come back again. Also there are campsites for non-RV ers . Every site has a picnic table and campfire. The sites are easily identified. The Wi-Fi is better than at home.

We spent the past weekend here and LOVED IT (I almost used sick time at work to stay another night). The site was large enough that both us and our friends could park our RVs (truck camper and a C class). The bathrooms were nice and clean. Best part is the beach was so close- just a short walk! Super cute benches and swings (ya know, for the gram). The hosts were amazing and beyond accommodating. Will definitely be visiting again- maybe next time to try out the tent camping sites on the dunes. If you're heading to Long Beach do yourself a favor and stay here.

WOW... what a WONDERFUL place! The owners Aaron and Mallory were there tending to their camp and making sure everyone who stayed there had a relaxing time. They even invited us to their community get together embracing us like we were long lost friends. They hired a woman who is bubbly and full of life named Marion who runs things when they are away and she was friendly, inviting and made us feel like family the entire time we stayed there. They went above and beyond. This place is well kept and clean. The kitchen area is a welcome treat when camping making food preparation much easier. One of my favorite features was the community herb garden, I used it every day. There are warm showers to wash away any lingering sand from the beach or simply to warm your bones from the chilly wind. There is a community fire pit as well as private fire pits offered at your camp/RV site. The beach is just a short walk away and once you reach the beach you feel like you have the beach to yourself. They also have a clubhouse where you can charge your phone, do some work, or just simply relax, read a book or play a game. There was coloring books and crayons, as well as yard games and sand toys that our sons enjoyed. They plan to expand their camp and make more tent spots which will be nice. My family and I are looking forward to coming back next summer and seeing our Lamp Camp Family! I highly recommend this place if you're in need of a camp or RV spot. Three thumbs up!!!

This camp does everything just right! They have a large grill we used to cook our eggs. They had a large stainless steel sink to wash dishes (or clean clams). It rained one day and we read in a large community room furnished with games and books. They have warm showers and even have a heater for the bathroom!!! There are outdoor games provided. There's a long sandy beach without crowds. The owner was prompt at replying to us and was super friendly. He said he set up the camp with everything he would want at a camp. The camp felt safe and clean and cozy and fun. We are hoping to go back

Fantastic experience at The Lamp Camp. Aaron and Mallory are incredibly sweet and accommodating. There is an amazing community feel with an cozy clubhouse. We played music at night and lawn games during the day. Bathrooms/showers were clean and spacious. The trail from the RV Park to the beach is short and extremely pretty. The location was perfect as we were able to go to both towns to get ice cream and essentials. I won't stay anywhere else on Long Beach. Can't wait to come back.

You're close to the ocean, surrounded by trees, and there's this constant sense of spaciousness that lets your mind open up. It creates the perfect conditions for artists to think, feel, and make work. What makes Arts Week truly special, though, is the people. The group of artists is diverse, thoughtful, and deeply engaged. You're in conversation all day long, whether that's over shared meals, spontaneous collaborations, or late night talks that somehow become the most meaningful part of the experience. It's rare to find a space where people show up this open and this willing to connect. The programming strikes a great balance. There's structure when you want it, like readings, performances, and workshops, but also plenty of unstructured time to follow your own creative instincts. There's also a real sense of care built into the week. The staff and organizers are thoughtful and attentive, and you can feel that they want everyone there to succeed!

My husband and I drove by the Sou'wester over a year ago when we were visiting Seaview for a day…read moretrip. We thought it looked like a fun place to stay considering we love all things vintage and staying in a vintage RV sounded like the kind of nostalgia we would appreciate. A few months pass and we decided to book a 3 night trip for our 12th wedding anniversary. We arrived on Saturday afternoon right at check in and we found the staff friendly and attentive. After check in we drove down to our camp site. They leave the doors unlocked after check out/"cleaning" so the key was sitting in the unit. This also means anyone can come into your unit before you even check in. The outside of the RV was, as expected, worn down but that's a part of the charm. Upon entering, we were hit with the smell of mildew/mold and a extremely warm trailer due to the heater being left on and it being late June. We turned off the heater and attempted to open up the windows, but alas they were'nt all fuctioning. Our 3 dogs couldnt even be in the unit without over heating so we set up their playpen outside. Half the flooring was either peeling up or gone all together. The walls had'nt been cleaned and had a film on them. The seating area did'nt fold down into additional bedding (another broken item), the toilet was dirty and still had urine on it and the bathroon walls were peeling. We weren't looking for a 5 star hotel but for the price we were paying per night we expected more. We settled in for the evening and tried to make the most of it and chalk it up to a new experience. The next day, after waking up and taking the dogs for a walk to the beach we decided to relax at the campsite and decided we could set up out tent (other camp sites had tents on them) to add additional living space. As we were lying out the tent in our area a woman approached us. She didn't introduce herself just started making comments about the tent, and the dogs, and the playpen. Again, no introduction, no pleasantries, just came in HOT. My husband tried to deescalate the conversation however the woman kept interrupting him and talking over him. He reached out his hand to introduce himself and thats when she finally paused and offered her name, Mary. She let us know if we wanted to put up a tent we would need to pay an additional $35.00. We explained to her we weren't expecting additional guests and that the tent was meerely for additional outdoor space. Again, she was coming in hot like we were trying to pull a fast one over on her. I explained that no where was I told tents were additional. I was not paying them any additional money due to the price we already paid and the comfort of the unit. Mary contiously spoke to my husband ignoring me all together. She was telling him what to do and how to do it and she came off extremely aggressive. We said we would speak to management and that's when Mary let us know she was the manager but was off duty so we could take it up with another manager. My husband is a POC and Mary presented as white and while the lodging advertised itself as diverse and inclusive we did not have that experience with Mary. My husband asked Mary for some space and it took asking several repeated times for her to finally leave. After she left, we decided this was not a place for us to stay. My husband started packing and I went to let reception know what had happened and that we were checking out. The staff at reception was very accommodating. I told them what had happened and they were confused as to why a tent would be such an issue with Mary. They tried offering additional things for us to stay and I refused. They asked if I wanted to speak to Mary again, and I said no. I did not want to speak to her ever again. The staff said they would talk it over with a manager but I let them know we were definitely leaving. We drove the 2 hours home. On our anniversary with cancelled dinner reservations and hurt in our hearts. Do better. Understand how you come across as a person of privilege when speaking down to a POC. I hope this is a learning experience for Mary. I checked my email today and she refunded our entire amount.

We just had the absolute best experience stopping in at Snow Peak in Long Beach!…read more After grabbing breakfast with my nephew and coworker, we decided to check this place out. Being locals, we've heard many good things about the campground, but had never seen it for ourselves. We weren't certain that we would be able to just walk through and check it out, so we were a bit skeptical at first. That's until we met Beth, who was working in their onsite cafe/camp store. I have truly never felt more welcomed in my life! Before even entering the cafe, we felt like we were talking to someone who's a longtime friend. Not to mention, she made us the some of the best drinks we've ever had. I ordered an iced matcha latte, which was incredible. They use ceremonial matcha, it's the real deal! My coworker ordered an iced mocha, and said it was the best he's had in a long time, if not the best he's ever had. Beth was kind enough to tell us more about the property, the things they're known for and all the amenities you have access to when you book a stay. She welcomed us back whenever we would like, and told us we could hangout as long as we wanted. We decided to utilize their corn hole boards, as a huge fan of the game I was excited that they had this as an option. The game went on for a lot longer than we had anticipated, and it was quite warm outside. Beth brought us out ice waters, which was so sweet! We did some more exploring before heading out, and we were not disappointed. We checked out their sauna, which looked like it was straight out of a dream. Cold plunge, a beautiful sauna room (that I unfortunately did not get a photo of) and a huge hot tub. We didn't want to leave! Overall, this place is absolutely incredible. We were only there for around an hour and a half, but I left feeling relaxed and can't wait to go back. We already have plans to book a stay! Beth, thank you so much! You are so wonderful and we can't wait to come visit with you again!

The main reason was for the Ofuro spa, which just looked absolutely stunning in photos. I booked my weekend stay very last minute so none of the cute wooden cabins were available, but plenty of field tent sites (which is the cheapest option, if you bring your own tent/gear). Check-in was easy and Jasmine was very kind and answered all my questions and helped me book my Ofuro Spa slots (they send you a link to make the reservations yourself but I didn't want to make an account). The buildings on the campfield are gorgeous. All made of wood and reflective of Japanese and nature aesthetic. The building with the restrooms and showers is perhaps the most beautiful bathroom building ever and it was always SO clean! The campstore is also beautiful with lots of windows to let the light in and sells everything snow peak, as well as provisions. The cafe part of the store sells beverages like coffee and tea, pastries, and also japanese hot dogs! The barista Beth was the loveliest person - she's local so she can tell you what things to check out in town! The terimayo hot dog was tasty! The campstore also has games and books! And outlets at the big table and also wifi! The Ofuro spa was definitely my favorite part - the architecture is stunning. There's a main pool that's like a hot tub, a cold plunge pool, and a sauna. There's also a fire pit and chairs off to the side too. There are cubbies for your stuff but no lockers. There are only four changing rooms with showers. Bring your own towel and bring slippers. Also recommend bringing your headlamp if you are going during the night time slot. The spa was really great and it was relaxing when barely anyone was there, which happened two of the times I went - which were the adult only times (first and last slots of the day). I went once I think around 5p which does allow children and they were treating it like a kiddie pool, splashing water around on the other guests, even though the parent told their kid to stop doing that. So best to go during the adult only times. Check out was easy! Forgot to mention that they have big wagon carts so you can transport your stuff to and from the car in the parking lot. I would love to come back one day and stay in the cabins!
