What a blast! There were 8 of us that decided to rent electric bikes from Chelan Electric Bikes. We took a sightseeing/winery tour and had an absolute ball. The tour was well thought out with lots of fun and interesting stops all along the way. Oh yeah, and some great wines too. Our guide, Jeremy, was kind and courteous every step of the way. He even put a blanket over the bikes seats at some of the stops to keep the seats from getting too hot in the mid-day sun. They thought of everything. We laughed and made some great memories! I would highly recommend this Chelan Electric Bike Tour! We felt very welcome from the start and the owner Merrick (sp?) was helpful in educating us in the use of the electric bikes...very easy to use! We stopped at a few wineries and even took a dip in Lake Chelan (wear your swimsuit under your clothes if you want to go in). Our tour guide Caroline was wonderful, personable, safety conscious and informative. She pulled a cart behind her bike so she was a Sherpa for our bags and wine purchases. Don't worry if you're out of shape, if you don't want to peddle you can just motor along. I can't wait to do it again!! read more

Really fun ride, great idea to head out to the dirt roads. I don't mountain bike so I never would have done this but the ebikes made it accessible. Great idea for a bachelorette party!! We had 10 girls taking a tour with Merv for my bachelorette party and it was so much fun! The bikes were really easy to ride. There is a tandem bike option as well. The scenic tour ride by the lake and view of the mountains were breathtaking! The three winery stops were beautiful too. The bride-to-be had a special bike and Merv put a real flowers on the bike for me. :) Merv was so much fun and a great guide! We bought lots of wines at the wineries and poor Merv trailed it all back for us. He took all of our pictures and we never felt rush by him at all. I had a blast that I didn't want the tour to end. I would truly recommend doing this and would come back and do it again with my husband in the future. FUN! FUN! FUN! LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! read more

I wasn't so sure about this but was up for something new. So glad we booked this, it was a blast! You don't have to pedal but you can if you want and it does help on some of the inclines (they are not that steep). The pace was perfect and we enjoyed the wineries. My husband and I were in town for to celebrate our anniversary and last vacation before we welcome a baby into the world. We elected for the twilight tour and had a wonderful time! I was 34 weeks pregnant at the time and felt completely safe and comfortable the entire ride - not having to really pedal much at all! Taking a tour with Merv on his electric bikes is officially a family tradition when visiting Lake Chelan! We've done the Winery Tour and the Path Less Pedaled Tour, both are outstanding fun for all ages. Our 14 year old daughter makes us promise to do it again next visit! As a group of 4, we did the sunset ride with Merrick and it was two hours of so much fun! We just walked up to the kiosk and booked that afternoon after reading about it on Trip Advisor. Bikes are well maintained and pretty easy to figure out. I wouldn't recommend for little kids as they are adult bikes but teens would have a great time. They are also super cute and make for great photo opptys. Great way to see Chelan and get around. Would be fun for any size group. We had a beautiful sunset that night and Merrick was a great tour guide. I would do again - have to try the wine tour next time! - and recommend to anyone. read more

If you are into having some outdoor fun outside of boating and driving in your car to different wineries. This bike tour is the way to go. We went to 3 vineyards that ranged from a fancy wedding winery to smaller more informative winery. Wineries are everywhere but the real experience is the electric bikes with the wind in your hair and the lakeside scenery as you rode. I was a little surprised and maybe missed the fine print that wine tasting was not included on the tour. Meaning at each venue we had to purchase our own flights. But All 5 people in my group absolutely loved the tour and we would recommend everyone to try it. The tour guide was also funny and got us pumped for the ride!!! read more

My wife and two kids joined Merv for the sunset tour. He has a great English sense of humor and we all enjoyed riding the Pedego bikes. A great way to get around, get fresh air and see things you're unlikely to see on your own. We were there two weeks after the fire in Chelan and seeing the amount of destruction made us sad for the lost firefighters but grateful for all those who helped keep the fires from destroying more people and property. My wife and I took the "Path Less Pedaled" tour, hoping to get a good intro to electric biking and it was a total blast! Doug set us up and Merrick & his son Jensen were our guides. It was a beautiful summer day and despite my worries of descending nearly 500 feet to the Columbia River, it was a simple ride with fantastic views, minimal pedaling and the Pedego Bikes are astonishingly powerful. They got my 250 lb body back up those 500 feet so easily I couldn't believe it. It was 85 degrees and we never broke a sweat! If you take this tour, bring your bathing suits for a dip in the crystal clear waters where the Chelan River joins the Columbia River. What fun and such nice people! read more
