Lake Wenatchee near Leavensworth Washington. On our E bike tour

Lake Wenatchee near Leavensworth Washington, on our E bike tour. I highly recommend taking the E bike tour especially if you are not familiar with electric bikes. It's a great way to become familiar with the technology and also spend a few hours seeing some gorgeous scenery with Christy our guide. Christy is a gem and you'll love her style and local knowledge. Highly recommend

We had a great time with Christy on the Lake Wenatchee e-bike tour. Not only were the bikes easy to ride and operate, but she took us to some beautiful scenery. She was so nice and so fun to ride with and shared a ton of helpful information about great local restaurants and hiking areas. Would definitely recommend an e-bike tour with this company, it was one of our favorite parts of our trip to Leavenworth!

We are visiting from LA and found Christy online. She was amazing! She showed us around and was very helpful on every step. Bike ride itself was magical! Leavenworth and surroundings are so pretty and ebike ride is a must. She showed us so many spots that we would never discover ourselves in such a short time. Also riding these bikes is so much fun! Thank you Christy!

Christy was kind, enthusiastic and knowledgeable - both about the area and about e bikes.

We arrived later than planned, quickly dropped our bags at the lodge, and headed straight to check out the bike rentals. Upon our arrival, I realized Discovery Bikes offers both e-bikes and standard pedal bikes. While my friend was interested in an e-bike, I personally couldn't justify the $40-$50 price tag for a shorter ride on a relatively flat, paved road, especially since I'm completely comfortable pedaling myself. Though, to be fair, I've never tried an e-bike but Stehekin didn't feel like the place I wanted to start... So, we ended up renting regular bikes, which I felt were overpriced given the quality. My friend's bike had issues with shifting gears, and at one point, her chain dropped completely. When we returned the bikes and mentioned the gear problem, the staff didn't even offer an apology which really rubbed me the wrong way. A little acknowledgment or concern would have gone a long way. It was, however, nice to have bikes so we could explore the Stehekin Valley Road at our own pace. We rode down past the bridge, stopped to check out the Stehekin Pastry Company, the garden, schools, waterfall, apple orchard, and more. It's was a beautiful and peaceful ride with a lot to see even if we didn't go all the way to the end of the road. Stehekin is a stunning place and I would love to come back someday to explore more (like all the way to the end of the road!)... Hopefully Discovery Bikes improves their bike maintenance and customer service in the meantime!

We'd heard much about the bakery and rainbow falls, so we walked the 5 minutes to discovery bikes, met Kim, signed a waiver and were off! The prices were reasonable (about $4/hr with a $15 half-day rental) and you could really get to wherever you were looking to go in about 2 hours round trip. The bikes were in nice shape, were very comfortable, and it appeared you could get helmets as well (our group didn't). The hourly rental was so reasonable that we often just rented a bike to run up to the bakery for a snack (or to the organic farmer for goat cheese or bees). Super friendly, super reasonable--I'll definitely be renting from them again. Oh! And cash only!

Being from Hawaii, this was both exciting and exhilarating to say the least. The lodge is about a 30-minute drive from where we were staying at the Obertal Inn. We purchased our tickets online ahead of time, which I highly recommend since rides can sell out. Upon arrival, everything was well organized with clear signage directing us where to go. Check-in was conveniently located in the same area as the gift shop and coffee stand. Since we didn't want to hold anything during the ride, we waited to shop until afterward. After checking in, we were instructed to meet our guide out front near the fire pit. Once she arrived (I wish I remembered her name!), she walked us over to our carriage. It ended up being our lucky day because we had the carriage entirely to ourselves, which made the experience feel even more magical and intimate. Throughout the ride, our guide shared background history of the area and pointed out wildlife we might spot along the way. Sitting bundled up in the cold, surrounded by peaceful winter scenery, was such a serene and unforgettable experience. Before heading back, we stopped for hot apple cider which was absolutely delicious and exactly what we needed in the freezing temperatures. We also had the chance to take photos with the horse, who was incredibly sweet and even let us pet him. Overall, this experience exceeded all expectations. If you ever find yourself in Leavenworth, I would 100% say this is a must-do. It's a beautiful, memorable way to take in the winter magic of the area.
