Yesterday was like every of shopping day, I had a full cart long with 4 boxes of kitty litter which are heavy when I heard someone ask if they could help me as I turned around I excpeted to see another customer but it was a new employee, I WAS SHOCKED, STUND EVEN, I had to ask if he was talking to me? he said yes ma'am, and he started loading up my car. I grabbed six of them, but while looking around I noticed they've got way more to offer: SRF wagyu burgers, house-made jerky, marinated meats, plus a great selection of BBQ sauces, rubs, and hot sauces. The butcher was super friendly and helpful, which sealed the deal. No more walking past--this is officially my new go-to spot for meats and rubs in Chelan. Lake Chelan doesn't have much in terms of high-quality vegetarian or plant-based gourmet options, but Bear Foods was a massively delightful surprise! The store is absolutely PACKED with things that I wanted to look at and take home. I was impressed with how many things they stocked that were items I've only seen online and never seen sold in stored. We took a super long time through the coffee and tea isle and ultimately took a few boxes and tins home with us because their selection was so good. Their cheeses and gourmet snacks area was well stocked, and I could see how some of the vacationing non-locals could keep a business like this afloat even with their considerable prices. I really wanted to go back, but we were in the area for a wedding and our timeline just didn't allow it to happen. Otherwise, I probably would have brought home a lot more of their amazing goodies! Only downside for me was that during our time there, there was a mask mandate, and not a single person working there was masked. I thought that was an odd thing to have despite the state's requirements and especially because they were a grocery store and having significant contact with patrons. Other than that, it was a really positive experience and I would absolutely return.

A small local market with a great selection!…read more It's not going to have everything you might be looking for but I've been surprised at the selection and variety they do have for their size The staff has always been friendly and helpful. They have a small meat department with some good quality of cuts. I've found some excellent quality T-bone steaks at a surprising excellent price. I must have caught a good promotion or sale one day and I'm glad I took advantage because they were mouth watering and chew every little bit off the bone good. Their produce selection is small and can show signs of wilted produce from time to time but most often it's of decent quality. The surprise is their wine and liquor selection. It's got a lot to choose from with quality stuff you might not find in other stores. They have local wines to choose from and some really good specialty vodkas. They have a deli with some hot foods to grab and go. Oh and they even have a little coffee shop and sitting area / serving Starbucks coffee.
