Family Bean is such a great little spot. The coffee is excellent, and the breakfast sandwiches are just what you want in the morning. They even give you a little donut with your coffee, which is a nice touch. It's set up in an old garage, and on nice mornings they open the big door so you can enjoy the fresh air while you sit and relax. The people here are super nice and make you feel welcome right away. It's an easy place to like and one I'll definitely be coming back to next time we're in town. read more

Super delicious food and drinks. Our kids loved the mini doughnuts! They were super accommodating with my wife being celiac and made her a breakfast sandwich on a gluten free bun that actually tasted great. They were super busy on a Saturday morning and still gave great customer service. Old school country on the speakers topped off a great experience. This was my first time going to The Family Bean, and I loved it! The atmosphere is so relaxing and feels like a home, the people working all had smiles on their faces, parking was abundant & it was quite easy to find. We ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches, a dozen of the mini donuts, and a latte! The sandwiches were yummy & warm, the latte was perfect and didn't taste burnt, and the DONUTSSSS: we could've eaten 2 dozen easily. Everything is made right in front of you, so I appreciated the transparency. We'll be back throughout the summer! read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE! I've been going to Chelan since I was an infant and this is the first year I've gone to The Family Bean. We went for breakfast 3 days in a row because we loved it so much! The employees were so sweet too. I ordered the straubinator to eat and it was one of my favorite breakfast sandwiches to date. I also got the straub lotus and it was amazing! You choose the level of sweetness you want between 1-5 which I've never seen before. All in all, I would give this more than 5 stars if I could! read more

HOLY COW HIDDEN GEM. We come to Chelan regularly and I had never been here until this trip. I can't believe I just had it for the first time... not only are their drinks DELICIOUS- shout out to Rachel the barista, but each one comes with a fresh mini cinnamon sugar donut that is to die for. They also have 12 or so other mini donut flavors to try- so don't forget to grab a little box to sample them all! Every single one was so good. Also, don't skip on the Rueben sandwich... I'm a corned beef lover and this was probably the BEST Ruben I've had in a long time. You don't expect such a delicious sandwich from what you presume to be just a coffee shop but you will not be disappointed. Overall this family business needs more love! You can tell that Rachel and Carl as well as the rest of the crew care about the customer. Not only are they taking covid precautions but they are thinking about how you feel and what your needs may be. They have a water bowl out for pups and a little treat canister for them. They help make sure what you're ordering is exactly what you are desiring and make suggestions for adjustments until they feel you're satisfied with the order. They're freshly making absolutely amazing food and drinks! Their mini donuts are probably the best donuts I've ever tasted. They're so soft, almost like cake. We bought a dirty chai with an ice cube as an espresso shot and there's a wonderful spice in the chai tea that makes it stand out to the others we have tasted. Their breakfast sandwich was delicious, fresh and soft as well! Honestly, I wish I wasn't just traveling through. Coming here would become a morning ritual for me. The interior design felt like a perfect balance between homely and business, if it wasn't for covid we would have thoroughly enjoyed dining in and enjoying the environment even longer. I do wish they had outdoor seating at least but I understand that they're putting safety first. read more
