My view was obscured by vegetation and he made no effort to slow or otherwise avoid the accident when it was readily apparent he had plenty of time to react. I bumped into Ruth in the courthouse while waiting for my first hearing, having decided to contest the citation. She immediately agreed to take up my case and even did so pro bono as I am a senior citizen with a long history of community service. I gathered evidence, she organized things, and even suggested that the charges might be dropped prior to the trial.
