    1) it's extremely expense and that doesn't include lunch, 2 snacks (which need to be packed from…read morehome) 2) Ordered a summer camp shirt:::never received it. 3) on day 3 of going my daughters best fiend was asked to wrestle (by a girl that knows karate. No idea how old she is cuz they're mixed in with the older kids) . She said no. But the culprit came up behind her and put her in a choke hold. And continued to assault her. 4) Keep in mind" the teacher wasn't anywhere to be seen (and was fired shortly after) 5) No one addressed the victim til minutessss after the fact 6) an incident report was written, but no one called the mom of EITHER student. Especially the one who was harmed! 7) The owner of the facility refused to show security tapes of the incident to the parent whose child was injured. Then: when my 8 year olds dad picked her up at 5pm, the workers, teacher/coaches were sitting on their phones, all the students were sitting silently at the tables while an 11 year old boy yelled and bossed them around. Dad confronted the owner about mass punishment (but got a vague Response). All in all, were able to get a refund for the remainder of the summer. My daughter really enjoyed the activity and karate but if something like a kid getting choke can go unseen...what else can be over looked! Beware Positive note: she had no other complains other than is and the hours are convenient. We didn't use the much but when we did.... place going be bigger! That's for sure.

I will be honest, I was a bit shocked. At 8, he had no problem embracing the discipline. I'm proud of how he's setting goals and vigorously pursuing them. Not only is he learning physical techniques, but he's understanding the self-control and the leadership associated with the art. The youthful energetic staff of martial artist, under the leadership of 6th Degree Black Belt (Master) Rankin, are definitely forging positive change in the lives of the young and not so young ;-) members of the our community.

For being WTF registered this studio is not professional. Besides sounding like a zumba class Han…read morewears a head set and blasts music(was embarrassing to bring grandparents in to watch compared to previous do jos), our child is of high belt ranking at 12 years old and they had offered him an opportunity to train lower belts at no pay and we just didn't have to pay for his class. They would fuss at our son(not discuss with us) for being late when school had just started and we would go straight there after school. We had to discuss with them a couple times that we were doing all we could even sacrificed other sports for him to work extra hours with them. Then they said that they no longer need him and this is after mental anguish a week prior telling my son that he is a "terrible instructor" this really hurt my sons feelings we had to discuss that Han was just having a bad day and we are proud of our sons hard work. We even called his previous Sensei out of state to discuss this situation and he said that that isnt professional and to get him out. We thought it was just stern, critical methods its point blank unprofessional. It seems more like a belt factory/ daycare. Han expressed his reason for not wanting my son to help train and help with their belt ceremonies anymore because of his age(which they knew the whole time, its on paper work) and that he shakes his leg nervously when sitting. Money was never an issue my son had to deal with unnecessary stress with this he tried so hard to work with these people. We relocated to a better studio where the owner has a excellent reputation and better mentors. WARNING: sparring Han DOESNT HELP higher belts figure how to defend themselves when sparing against him. Han spars with higher belts which is great but he does this AXE kick on them that goes down onto their heads of course with head protection. My son had mentioned that Han has rung his bell a couple times and on the ride home contemplating what he should of done better, when Han should have already told them after sparring what methods they should work on! **My son is very stoic and there has been a couple times on the ride home him tearing up because of situations over there.**

I am surprised that the individual who posted a negative review of our school never bothered to attend a single class before doing so. Our students and competitive team are a family. We have dedicated masters who are internationally recognized in the Olympic sport of Taekwondo. We sweep the medals at every competition we attend. Our instructors are caring and knowledgeable, but they are demanding of excellence. Truly, this school is not for everyone. If you don't want to work hard and give your best - it is not for you. If you want to buy a belt for promotion every 3 months it is not for you. If you want to truly learn martial arts, learn to defend yourself, learn sportsmanship and competition, than this is the place for you.

We spoke to an older black guy who took us into his office and showed us a video of what he teaches. He then, out of nowhere, says "You're Mexican, what part of Mexico are you from?" "Do you know the Sanchez brothers?" I told him I was born in Merced California, and he replied with "Oh, well there's a lot of Mexicans in Aiken." He made me, my husband, and my daughter feel uncomfortable, things got really awkward after that. We were only there to get information. (They charge $109 a month.) We moved from California in July 2016 and we were hoping to find our daughter a place where she can do martial arts, but this is definitely not the one. I do not recommend this place.
