Back in Okc and I had to make the drive out to Cherokee Trading Post, once again. I remember coming to Cherokee as a child, each time I enter it reminds me of home. Loads of treasure inside this unassuming building, including the always friendly employees. Handcrafted jewelry & pottery, leather goods, wallets, boots, moccasins, wind chimes, kids toys, knives, art, clothing & shoes for everyone plus much, much more! You can also find gasoline, great food & photo ops just outside the Cherokee Trading Post doors.

Fun little shop with lots of beautiful things. Got a Myra cup I absolutely love. Clean bathrooms

It doesn't look like much, but it is very much worth stopping in at if you want a decent stretch break in the middle of nowhere. The gift shop is fairly extensive. Go to the building in back, not the gas station. There is live buffalo out back too! It's a tiny tourist trap, but with decent prices and a good stretch break. Friendly staff too!

You just have to stop here. It's a great tourist trappy style gift shop and gas station. I got a really beautiful copper ring in the gift shop. There was a lot of cool stuff for sale, great selection of jewelry. Fun for taking pictures!

    One sad cold live Buffalo

The hundreds of billboards advertising for this place make it sound a lot cooler than it is. And the lone, cold Buffalo I saw made me quite sad.

Stopped in after a rigorous hike at Red Rock Canyon. We had our dog with us, so I ran in and placed a to-go order. 2 buffalo cheeseburgers, 1 order of fries, 1 order of onion rings, 1 plain buffalo patty (for the pup) and one chocolate chip cookie (I saw the dessert case and the waves of temptation washed over me). Burgers and onion rings are excellent and not greasy which was appreciated! Fries were a bit bland. The cookie was great! The waitress told me all desserts are homemade except the cheesecake and you can tell by the look and taste. Very clean-looking establishment, and the waitress who took my order was beyond friendly. There are shelves of local or almost-local jams, peppers, and honey if you feel like bringing home an edible souvenir. My only gripe - the place is HUGE, but no outdoor seating of any kind. Not even some picnic tables. When you're taking a long road trip, it's nice to sit outside on nice days - not totally uncommon to see this in a "rest stop" type of area. Definitely worth the stop if you are along the way!

They even have some live buffalo in the pasture next to the restaurant to admire.

While the staff was somewhat disorganized, were training other new potential staff, they all were consistently friendly (one trainee a bit too friendly...) and warm. Our food was terrific! We were somewhat cynical because of lackluster experiences at other 'celebrity' chef restaurants. Not here. EVERYTHING was wonderfully presented and tasty. An upgraded Cesar Salad, the crispy fish sandwich, the burger (the BEST I've ever had), the fries (obviously cooked in a yummy fat 3X!). The staff complimented our fantastic day's event by comping us Sticky Toffee Pudding! WOW! We're coming back to try the lunch special and will be dining in the evening again too.

We dined for lunch, sat at bar and the service was on point. What a great guy! Started with the Parker house rolls, cooked to perfection on the exterior with parsley, butter and flaky finishing salt. Inside was soft , melt in mouth. That creamy butter with more finishing salt was devoured. Next we did entrees; lobster roll rich, packed with lobster. So dang good! Chicken Milanese with creamy Dijon sauce and arugula. Would have licked the plate if at home. Lastly, the pureed mashed potatoes. This was as good as ones I had in France. So lush and I can't wait to go and eat more. Great experience, will be back when in town.

She makes sure that everything that is done wrong is heard about but the good things go unnoticed with a note saying "good job". Shes a "oh yea and also" kind of manager. I would have reported her but it's not worth it so here's a review about working there. also this review should be posted for all crew and managers to see since every single bad review get we are told "not good" "this is a big no no" "this can't happen" yet we are under trained and she left early everyday. But would get on to other about things that are wrong. Never got trained by her but only commanded some leadership. And most importantly she will let you know something very last minute which okay once or twice is fine but she does it everytime. Aside from her, the overall labor is unsure compared to the pay, feels underpaid. Aside from her the other managers are very nice and they are good at what they do.
