In October of 2022 after going for years with no window covering on a 4' x 8' bow window that let the heat in during the summer and the cold in during the winter, following the advice and recommendation of the shop owner, I ordered and received a Graber Lightweaves roller solar blind. I opted to upgrade to the remotely controlled motorized model powered wirelessly by Somfy. The staff selected a complimentary fabric for the blind based on photographs of my great room's decor. The blind quickly became one of the best improvements I've ever made to my house. No more cold weather draft and no more direct sunshine causing overheating of my TV room in the warm months, and speaking of which, no more glare on the TV screen! After four years I am still happy with my purchase and for the assistance of the shop staff. Doug (the owner) insulted my wife to the point of me having to yell at him and kick him out of our house. I had to take the curtains down as they were about to rip out of the wall. We had some challenges initially the first time he came. He made it very clear he didn't want to help us - not returning calls when promised, not showing up to scheduled appointments, etc. I've never been treated this poorly by a local business...ever! read more

I called to find out if they repair blinds in home. I was told yes and to send pictures of the blind to them. I received a quote and told that the person who repairs blinds would call me to schedule an appointment. I received no call for weeks and so I reached out repeatedly to try to connect with her. The last and final call I spoke to the shockingly rude owner whom I had spoken to the week before. He seemed very angry that I had called again berating me on the phone. Then out of the blue he said he'd schedule the appointment himself. Why didn't he do that the week before? I found a different company that was (gasp) actually friendly and gave my business to them. He contacted the company which made the shutters, and he ordered the clips. A few days later, when he called to tell me the clips had come in, he surprised me by saying there was "no charge". Eleven years ago CCS&D installed window coverings throughout our home and the job went perfectly. Recently, I reached out to Kelcy to have a few more blinds installed. She came to look, sent me an estimate and took a deposit for half of the total cost. That was 9/29. Since then I've been unable to get a straight answer about what's happening with the blinds. I finally asked for a refund because I lost trust in this company and have been given the runaround repeatedly. I know that things don't always go smoothly, and I can be patient and understanding to a point, but this is completely unacceptable. For a long established company in Denver, I was shocked at the unethical practices. They gave me a bid about 10 days later, but would not give me the shipping cost. On closer inspection, their bid was grossly in error. They never returned my emails to give an explanation. Their bid appeared to be competitive, but on closer inspection, they were at least $800.00 more on the same Hunter Douglas cellular shade. If you want to pay a whole lot more, then by all means, order from them. read more

I support local businesses, so I took some cushions to this store (just a few blocks from our home in CCN) to be recovered. After 2 months of visits to the store, phone calls and broken promises, I recovered the cushions just as I had left them. I needed to make several additional visits and phone calls to retrieve a color swatch I had left for fabric selection. Someone named Brianna was supposed to have handled my work, but she did nothing. If they didn't want my business, why didn't they just tell me. I will never do business with this store, again, and I do not recommend the store or Brianna. I contacted Sara's Upholstery, and they picked up and delivered, and recovered the cushions in just two weeks. Great work at a very reasonable rate. I highly recommend Sara's Upholstery. read more

I used these folks 4 years ago to put in shades and blinds and was very happy with the work and service. However, they have totally nose-dived since then. Really, just rotten customer service and crummy attitudes. After a flood in our home we needed to submit replacement estimates to insurance prior to purchasing new blinds/shades. I left several messages about the project with no return call, finally got a return call from a very unhelpful Doug (the owner), left more follow up messages, finally got a return call from a very unhelpful Kelsey who promised to send what I was needing (she didn't), finally left a message literally BEGGING for help- no response. I've never worked so hard to give someone business in my life. After 3 weeks of failed attempts I called Guirys. Literally 8 minutes after I hung up with the person at Guirys she had my original order emailed to me from Hunter Douglas and I submitted it to insurance. Less than 2 days later my replacement order was placed. The speed with which Guiry's was able to respond shows that Cherry Creek Shade and Drapery did not even bother trying to get the info I needed. What is the point of supporting small business in an economic downturn when they act like such jerks? Do yourself a favor and skip the headache of this company. I ordered some drapery rods from them. The rods are not a custom made item.They were not going to work, so I called and they said they were not returnable and that they were a custom item. The 2 rods cost me 425$! In fact I was able to order directly from Kirsch for 100$ a rod and it is exactly the same rod. Kirsch has a full money back guarantee. I will yell at the rooftops re this business, that I forsee will go away due to their terrible customer service. I should add that I received no decorating advice from them. Initially, I wasn't impressed with CCAD. I had a designer come out to go over ideas for my daughters room, and despite a phone consult describing what I was looking, I felt she was unprepared and not that motivated. So I went elsewhere. We've since had every window treatment updated by "elsewhere". One of those treatments was a set of drapes. Four months later we wanted to change those drapes into 3 roman shades (plenty of fabric). They would not even entertain the idea of re-making the drapes, despite the fact that the drapes were brand new. Cherry Creek Shade and Drapery stepped in, were more than happy to re-do our drapes, measured and installed for a very reasonable rate. They came out beautifully, match the other in the room and the install was seamless and perfectly done. I regret not using them from the beginning and wish I had more windows to cover.
