Our salesperson and office contact were great. Appointments were on time and the product choices and receipt of product and installation were timely. My disappointment was that the product delivered was visible shutter movement with the bar in the middle when we had ordered invisible shutter movement. We accepted the order anyway with a small credit given in addition to the higher cost of invisible shutter movement. I didn't want to send the shutters back because I wasn't sure the change would fit properly, and we had a whole room project gointg, etc. Our salesperson had given us so many choices of shutter brand and colors and gave us great explanation of each. If only the manufacturing side had followed the order as made .... still, it was a great look for a very good price. read more

I recently used Value Blinds and couldn't be happier. We had some shutters and a Blackout Shade installed and it went flawlessly. The blackout shade fabric was continuously on back order. They kept in touch and offered to change it out for something else. We loved the fabric we picked so much that we waited until it finally came in. They installed right away when it arrived and it works and looks perfect. Even though the blackout shade fabric was on backorder, they still installed the shutters right away so we didn't have to wait for those too. We used Value Blinds and Shutters for our new home in Woodland Park. I got 3 bids from 2 different blind companies. Budget Blinds came in as the cheapest, but when I took the time to really study the bids, Value had the best offer. The electric blinds were Hunter Douglas, and with Budget blinds, it was a cheap China brand. Michael the installer did an excellent job. My neighbor an across the street has an almost identical home and went with Budget Blinds. 2 of my neighbors have now commented that my blinds look superior. Give Value blinds a chance. Michael, the installer, did a great job installing our blinds. He was clean, efficient, and super nice! He was also a perfectionist, which I appreciated! We had one shutter he installed on our sidelight, which ended up being a little too tight. Instead of saying something like, "over time it will loosen up" or "well, you won't open that much any way," he stated he would leave it up, order a new one immediately, and replace it as soon as it came in. Even after a few years, they follow through as if the blinds were purchased just recently! We have twisted our cords and accidentally crushed the pulls over time and brought them in for repair. Loved that they showed up right on time. This was our 3rd bid for shutters, the first two were nice but we had some woodwork that they had to work around and they weren't sure that they could do it. Paul took a look and said that they could do it, he brought in samples and showed us how the install would go. So we hired them on the spot after he did the bid. We had a problem with a few of the levers being warped, Hunter Douglas' problem, not theirs. They took care of it right away, and now it looks great. Well, based on the stellar reviews I was very hopeful. Called on 8/30, made an appointment for 9:00 a.m. 9/7 to have 29 windows measured and quoted. Total NO SHOW. Their pricing was very competitive (I got Hunter Douglas blinds at a price that was very close to cheaper brands offered by other companies). The blinds arrived on time and looked great. The installers did a good job of installing the blinds. And Paul (who I think is the owner, but not sure) did an excellent job of working with us to figure out what we needed, and didn't mind making several trips to Denver to help us finalize our order. We ordered plantation shutters in early February and received them in early April for installation. During the installment it was discovered that they had forgotten to order shutters for some windows in our great room. The guy who came out to measure our windows had specifically discussed these windows with me and how great the shutters will look on these windows so it's irritating that he forgotten to place the orders for it. They gave us a small discount and reordered the shutters for these windows. It's now May and we're told it's not going to arrive for installation in June. Not the kind of service we're happy with and the small discount for these windows doesn't make up for our frustration! read more

I met Scott and he toured my home, took measurements and laid out samples for me to consider. It was a very easy and stress free process. Put 50% down as required and Scott gave me an additional discount by including the invisible vein style for free. The company was running a special so be sure to ask. I knew the product would take up to 8 weeks to be ready for install. It took about 6. Anne in the meantime called to check in on me and also update on the product and who would do the install. Mike came while I was at work and when I got home I was thrilled. The shutters are beautiful and my house was left more clean than it was before Mike arrived.
