Every performer brought their A-game. If you love jazz and blues, you will get your fill at this musical. There is very little dialogue in between songs. Just enough to introduce changes in style or era. I can't imagine any improvement to this play.The multi talented Kenya Fashaw is always excellent, but she took us to a new level with her sexy rendition of Someone Else Is Stepping In. It would take a while page to give props to each of the cast members who had us bouncing, rocking and trying hard to refrain from singing along. I encourage all music lovers to treat themselves to this experience.

They have 6 rows of padded seats on both sides of the performance space for this production. This play was titled Willy/Nicky based on historical correspondence between Kaiser Wilhem of Germany and Czar Nicholas of Russia (both were cousins and grandchildren of Queen Victoria of England). It covers the time period before, during and after World War I. It included the "Mad Monk" Rasputin. Lots of sexual innuendo with Rasputin portrayed as a draq queen. A funny and thought provoking play.

I've been going here since moving to Denver when I searched out where the internationally held "Nerd Nite" in Denver would be. I used to go to Nerd Nite in Wisconsin and many of the major metro areas have a Nerd Nite. So, that is how I discovered The Bug Theater. It's not quite as cool as the WI chapter, but it's still a good time! It's fun to learn stuff! Another great event there was the Emerging Filmmakers. Local filmmakers present their short films and you can make a comment about it afterwards, if you'd like. Or you can just listen to other's comments! It's a great time if you're into movies! A must see are the Acrocats. Again, I've also seen the show of performing cats in WI and have been waiting for years to see them here in Denver. I couldn't believe the date range as the show ran for something like 2-3 weeks and even more shocking was that she sold out every single day!!! Fun fact is that her first performance was here in Denver at The Bug even though she started the Acrocats out of Illinois (and is in Georgia as of late). They have several other events like comedy, as well. Definitely check something out there that you're into! It's sure to be a good time! The theater is small, I don't know if it's 100-something seating. But also, nice and cozy for these fun locals on stage ;)

The acoustics were awesome. I wish they had a full bar but we managed. Loved the ambience and look of theatre. Bathrooms were not great. Saw Buyer & Cellar, a new comedy by Jonathan Tolins, Directed by Linda Suttle and starring John Hauser in this one man play about a struggling L.A. actor who takes a job working in the basement of a beloved megastar. The result is an outrageous comedy about the perils of fame, the price of friendship, and the oddest of odd jobs. John Hauser is so superb in this role. It was so engaging and I recommend that everyone watch this play at least once-it will not disappoint! It runs from 14 Oct to 11 Nov 2017. The venue is small but has the advantage of making you feel part of the stage. There is a snack bar with an assortment of drinks and goodies.

Channeling the burst of energy and freedom in post-Franco Spain, Pedro Almodóvar's WOMEN ON THE VERGE OF A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN was one of the most unusual and exhilarating new films in years. It was nominated for the Oscar for Best Foreign Film, and quickly became not just a classic, but a favorite. Lane and Yazbek, the team behind DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS, took Almodóvar's tale and infused it with their own wry, comic style and an irresistible Spanish beat. They generally work out of The Bug Theater, which is over on Navajo. I didn't have very high expectations on our first visit since the ticket prices are pretty low, but thought - "what the heck, Little Shop" should be a lot of fun. I was pleasantly surprised - the show was fantastic! They did a really good job with the set, especially considering their limited resources, and the performers were outstanding. I brought a group of eighteen people to the show, and the Equinox staff (Deb in particular) made organizing the event a pleasure. Easy to deal with, great quality shows, and fun topics - go check it out!

We were super excited about the show. We've always watched him on tv. Now let me say I was a lil disappointed in the snack choices; so popcorn was the choice. I live Reese pieces , water and pineapple juice. I don't drink so the alcohol was where it was. The staff was very attentive and trying to fill every order. There were so many people and they were doing their thing. The lines were long but moving quickly. I haven't been in the theater since 2008. So I did not like the seats an how close they were. I felt cramped and crowded.. The restroom was clean and the theater itself was neatly decorated and clean too. The first comedian that opened up was amazingly talented and great!!! He was funny and a principal.. I really enjoyed his and could see him again. He had the crowd cheering and laughing uncontrollably.. support this brother whenever you see him. He's worth the time. The dJ was fire he had the crowd amped up. He was dropping hit after hit getting us prepared for the show. When Ali came to the stage they erupted into applause and cheers. His mannerisms and demeanor were just characteristic and down to earth. He was funny and my side was hurting from all the laughing. We paid for the meet and greet and the line was long but worth the wait. He was so cool in person and love his fans. I would love to come and see him again.

Tonight we had watched Harry Prince and the Cursed Child…read more I had met a group of friends and we had an excellent time here. It was fun getting in roll play with others as well. Our seats were front row balcony and I'm normally afraid of heights. When I first got to our seats i felt kind of woozy but before the end of show I was over my fear. The set was set up brilliantly along with the story.

Although I didn't have any medal on me (no purse/phone/watch), the medal detector kept going off and the hand held wand was going off as well. The manager was convinced I had stuff in my pockets or in my tennis shoes. It was a back and forth for quite sometime. The theatre itself is pretty. The seats are comfy and each seat has a cup holder. The bathrooms were somewhat clean. The lines were long for both restrooms and drinks. A major pro was the parking lot was close by.
