Ryan and I went to The Bug Theatre over the weekend! The staff here is so fun but professional, and the venue is intimate and unique and fun with. This place is such a classic! We went to a Grawlix show and we're going to be moving closer to this area and we're looking forward to coming to more shows and events that The Bug has to offer. We highly recommend checking out some shows here and showing your support for The Bug Theatre!

First time here and it was to see my fellow Colombian comedians! I had such a great time. The place was cozy and the seats were comfortable. Definitely try to get there early if you want a good seat, I believe it's first come first serve. The bathroom situation kinda sucks but they sell beer and wine! So I'm all for it.

I am actually writing this review on the Acrocats. This is a cat circus. This was my first experience at this venue. Who would pass up a cat circus? The venue had a theater setting. I was so compelled, and being new to this town, I heard a murmur blah blah cat circus, I invited myself, how else am I going to make friends or enemies. I thought I had almost seen it all, now I am that much closer to have seen it all. It really was wonderful. It was for a good cause and super hilarious. Who knew that there was a traveling cat circus. It was something not to be missed. I am of the adventures type. I enjoyed the heck out of myself! I highly recommend seeing anything hat you may not normally see on a Friday night! Something that may not sound awesome because you just never know! Plus all the cats are rescue's and the money goes to a good cause, I thought it was really fantastic! Thus the five stars, it saves lives of animals!

Atmosphere & Performance This was The Notebook The Musical…read moreso it is different from the book and the movie. I would say the musical leans more toward a romantic comedy especially compared to the movie and you will definitely notice the differences. That said I still think The Notebook musical is great. I really enjoyed it and it absolutely still has those tearjerker moments. The cast was awesome and everyone sang so beautifully. The performances felt genuine and emotional and the atmosphere in the theater really helped pull everything together. Customer Service Customer service was amazing. Everyone was super friendly helpful and accommodating from the moment we arrived. As soon as I checked in they noticed I was a lottery ticket winner and congratulated me which was really sweet and unexpected. I did not need that but it was still a very thoughtful touch. Staff showed us where to go and once we got closer to our seating area another staff member walked us directly to our seats. Overall everyone was welcoming and made the experience feel smooth and stress free. Pricing & Parking I got my tickets through Lucky Seats. Which is a lottery-style system for discounted tickets. We won two tickets for a total of $78 and our seats were very close to the stage with a great view. Discounted tickets made the experience even better. Parking at DCPA was $17, and they only accept card payments. Parking was convenient, with several nearby options, and it did not feel overwhelming getting in or out. Food & Drinks For food and drinks I paid twenty two dollars total not including tip. I got one Sprite one bottled Sprite one bottle of Coca Cola and a pack of gummy bears. I understand it is for a great cause and supports DCPA but it is a bit pricey. If you need to sneak in your own snacks do what you gotta do. Overall Experience My overall experience was honestly perfect. The performance was amazing the seats were great and the entire night was so much fun. I would absolutely go back again and highly recommend checking out DCPA and one of their shows.

Our second beverage we both got the Spicy Margarita. This was served on the rocks with 21Seeds Cucumber Jalapeno Blanco, Cointreau, lime juice, sweet and sour with a Tajin rim. I think I would have liked this more if it had not been as cucumber forward. It tasted more like an extract than actual cucumber. Noted for another time. At the end of the show we waited a few minutes for the initial crowding to calm and were able to head out through the back, get our phones out of their pouches and be on our way.

Yes, I'm definitely a fan of Cherry Creek Theater!…read more CCT is a relatively new addition to the Denver theater scene, and have just begun their second season of productions. They're so new, in fact, they don't actually have a traditional theater space. They partner with the Shaver-Ramsey rug gallery in Cherry Creek and hold their performances in the large room off to the side of the main showroom. The acoustics are wonderful, and the space works really well. The performance we saw was in-the-round, so there wasn't a bad seat in the place. They don't focus on one specific type of theater - you'll find dramas, comedies, even musicals. I suspect that anything you see will be quite good as they get some of the best acting talent in Denver, and do a solid job with their script selection. The CCT also offers refreshments before the show and during intermission, including wine, most of which seemed to just have a suggested "donation" amount. You are allowed to bring drinks into the theater - yay! They find places around the area (Whole Foods, for example) and bring in pretty decent bites. So, there you go - yet another theater in Denver you perhaps never knew was there. Check it out!
