Oh. my. The food. The dining experience. The interior ambiance…read more It's been a long time since I've been THIS impressed by a restaurant and literally ALL the dishes we ordered. If there is one restaurant to splurge at in PEC, I would highly recommend you pick Flame + Smith! I have to first compliment our server, he was exceptionally pleasant! Attentive with our waters, brought sharing plates for everything we shared, cleared the table/plates/utensils after each dish, and was so knowledgeable with the local ingredients! Every dish was plated BEAUTIFULLY and garnished with their garden edible flowers. I kid you not, all of them were 5/5 knock my tastebuds off. -Chilled zucchini soup (surprisingly refreshing and creamy) -Local Burrata & heirloom tomatoes (loved the bits of salt in the focaccia that brought out the sweet tomatoes, nutty pistachio butter, creamy cheese and tart berries) -Thai Soft Shelled crab (so crispy on the outside but sweet crabby meat on the inside, compliments the green papaya salad underneath) - Lamb rack (overall yummy, but wish the cut of meat wasn't as fatty as it was) -Charred radicchio with hazelnuts (nice side to add to our main course) -Strawberry tart (showstopper and grand finale of our meal, the thicker crust carries the white chocolate lava and strawberry foam cloud on top) Ugh, I still daydream about eating here. Keep it up Flame+Smith!

They informed me the patio isn't open late at night due to the bugs so the host allowed me to do take out which they don't usually do. I ordered the snack tray, just something small for dinner and the Strawberry tart. Both were delicious. The strawberry tarts was so yummy. The crust was the best part. This place is beautiful, inside and out. I will have to visit another time and try the food and enjoy the setting. I cannot thank the host enough for allowing me to do take out. It is difficult when travelling with a dog sometimes so I really appreciate the accommodation they made.

A bunch of my family and I come to the County every summer for a couple of days and nights. Great…read moredining is always a major part of our evenings. Over the years we have passed by the Milford Bistro but we've never been around that area at dinner. This year we were staying at a lovely B&B in nearby Cherry Valley so it was the perfect chance to check out the Bistro. We understand that the Bistro is under new management or ownership as of three months ago so there aren't many recent reviews to go by. The menu is limited with a few starter options, four mains and three desserts. Three of our four had the beef short rib on a bed of mashed potato with a tasty, thin yet not overly rich sauce. It was a good solid comfort meal. Our fourth had a half rack of baby back ribs with a bbq sauce on a bed of mashed potato. We would have preferred that the pork ribs have more of a fall-off-the-bone slow roasted texture but they didn't quite meet that want. Also the bbq sauce was quite strong and could have been more caramelized on the meat instead of being brushed on so heavily at the end. Vegetables were only available a la carte for $6 a plate. Seven fairly thin asparagus spears for $6; didn't necessarily feel that was good value. Oh and we also tried the Caesar salad to start - it was deconstructed but had nice solid components... a lovely fresh wedge of romaine, a nicely toasted bread crouton, a crispy slice of pancetta and a nice dressing. Couldn't be totally sure whether it was homemade or not. Service was polite and timely. It will be interesting to see whether given the limited menu, there will be frequent adjustments to keep the options new and interesting.

Yeah, $23 for a takeout hamburger I don't think so and all my friends are saying yeah that's what…read moreit cost now that's what it is. No that's not what it is. I was at home yesterday. I made a hamburger that was so good and it cost me four dollars with the meat the bun, the tomato and the onion four dollars. You're charging 23+ tax plus tip. I need to open a restaurant so that I need to do. When I was at the Legion last week, they were selling hamburgers with all the fixings for five dollars and they said they're still making money. You know what I mean.
